People really need to realize how difficult filmmaking is. 'Difficult' is an understatement, especially for a breakthrough origin movie which is based on the combination of ancient history and mythology. Can you imagine your own movie or project that you've put your heart and soul in bringing something to life being stopped not once or twice but multiple times due to multiple reasons for a decade while you go through all that and still fight till the end to finally complete the first installment only for some people to call it a bad movie but hang on or focus towards the good side or the people that like the effort atleast?! The next time you call a movie 'flop' or 'terrible', please remind yourself of how 'difficult' and challenging it is to make a movie like this.
This movie wasn't perfect but I definitely enjoyed it. I am really happy that a film of this concept and magnitude has been made and I truly appreciate the effort of everyone to bring this movie to life. And the fact that they've achieved a visual spectacle of this quality for the given budget is beyond remarkable! While there's so much room for improvement and to right the wrongs by learning from the first movie, I am exicted and hopeful about the second part.

Absolutely right you are!! Our audiences just go with the flow, without thinking logically and whatsover. They just follow the trend, without their own thinking. This movie has not shown anything bad or offensive to call for boycotting it! This kinda movie is unique and is created once in a while. But our pathetic audiences they never acknowledge the struggle and difficulties while making such large scale movie.

People hating on brahmastra movie for involving "love" as a important part of the story but it make sense cause the main character is Shiva who grew up as a orphan without the love and affection from his parents. So he uses love as a motivation factor to defeat his enemy and I really don't see a problem with it.
This movie was far from masterpiece but it was not a bad movie and it's "love" was def not the bad part abt the movie. The dialogues do need a lot of improvement.

I apologize in case I hurt any sentiments but I just finished watching the movie and keeping the amazing vfx and music aside, I wasn't really intrigued by the writing. The dialogues were very basic, repetitive, forgettable, not memorable, a bit extra and there's not much left for the viewer's imagination. It's like you felt that the audience needs to be explicitly told everything and they can't figure out those things by themselves. For instance, the part where they explain Dev's relation to Shiva. We understand what you're trying to say. You don't need to word everything, every emotion. Let the actors' eyes speak. There's soooooo much potential in this entire astraverse concept and the story but it felt like we've not touched as deep as we could have. The story got lost in the end for me. We're talking about the BRAMHASTRA! The one that not even Gods can stop! The one that cannot be recalled easily. The one that shri Krishna had to cancel with his divine sudarshan chakra to protect uttara's womb! And shiva's love stopped it? Power of love? That was disappointing! For a fiction lover, just imagine if the Avengers' love for their families stopped Thanos! I'd be like WTF! More importantly, it's Brahmashira astra that has the power to destroy the universe. Also, Brahmastra belongs to Lord Brahma it can't just be owned and it's an astra that protects! These astras are activated and directed towards someone by someone. Although Junoon joined it back with mantras but it was for re-energizing Shiva. Activating it without a cause could be understood as destructive as these astras have to do something once they're released. Just their existence cannot be destructive! Invoking these astras through mantras and LOADS of practice was taught to great Warriors like Arjuna himself! The shape of Bramhastra isn't correct as per the scriptures as well! Having read those scriptures myself, I just feel like a very surface level research was done and no one dove deep enough to understand what they can do, how they are activated, when they're used, when they can be destructive and most importantly how and who can stopt them. So that kind of weapon and that level of universe coming to an needs some sacrifice! We can't just have a happy ending where one kid died and everyone else survived. People died early on in the movie trying to protect it and after it was fully active and unstoppable, LOVE stopped it? People have moved way past happy endings. They relate more to loss, sacrifice and pain. Why else do you think such an iconic character like Iron Man had to be sacrificed to give Avengers End Game the level of grandeur it got? This was not at alllllll satisfying! The story and the writing was a big shocker for me and I wanted to watch this first day first show. VFX and music are great but please build a better and more rewarding, agonizing, thrilling, on the edge story for Dev. I cannot emphasise that enough. Also, this isn't a part of Indian 'spirituality'. It's a part of Hindu mythology and religion. There's a huge difference. Please read more about the Brahmastra Or any other astra before adapting them.
