I own this Nutribullet to make smoothies and with the extra power (1200 watts), making hummus is no problem. For taste, add cinnamon, ginger, etc, or a flavored protein powder. I use Jocko's chocolate-flavored powder with 1 gram of sugar.
The pro plus also has two diferent blades. One is a blending blade the other is a milling blade. It will grind up seeds in to powder. Makes great! Hummus almost as well as my Vitamix Pro. 11 cups is a bit over kill for making 1-2 smoothies. I make gravies and baby food in mine. It's a great little lite blender that does a big blender job. Crushes ice like my Viamix Pro. Vitamix is good for larger quanities.
Thank you for the great video, especially the loudness part - very helpful, so looooud, goodness, louder than our vacuum cleaner)) but the end result… hmmm, makes me think….now I wonder if NutriBullet pro is more gentle on the ears ( Gosh, still hearing that horrid noise, sorry))) the ears are too sensitive)
Any reason you use the pills rather than fresh? It'd probably be cheaper and just as effective to use fresh. You could just freeze what you can't use in time. You can also get bulk tumeric from the spice aisle. Great review btw - just bought the ultra which is similar.
Awesome, thanks for the comment and positive feedback. I just enjoy the convenience of some of the items I guess. I take a decent amount of these everyday even without the smoothie - so makes a bit easier to assure I get everyday. In the end fresh whole foods always better but my process works for me now. Maybe in due time - take care!
I measured my 900 series containers. They are 24 and 32 ounces like the pro plus, so no difference there. The improved blade configuration and power increase are what the pro plus is all about.
can you still use the magic? like for dressings and small things the small cups would be better I feel. I will make them in here and then swish the veg in the cups to get it all out! but if I had one small cup it would be nice.
I Paid the extra as im sick of cheap things that break on tough jobs.. I think it's expensive for the size and they rip you off for cups, in effect there are 4 jugs with this thing, and im not really gonna go above the 900ml (if I was making more smoothies for someone else with this thing I will prefer to just make a second or third, but I wanted the power. I don't have a 900 to compare it to, but had a magic bullet (prolly 200 watt) once and this is so much better.
Thanks for the comment. There is a similar looking version that has 900 watts. It doesn’t have the ‘pulse’ button but seems pretty similar otherwise. I really dig mine and would recommend it for sure. Still going strong after a year.
@@TravisVarga im not good with ounces, but there are 590ml and 700 a nd 900.. I think 4 all together? they all seem to have that screwy thing on top to fit the blender otherwise its just cups you have in your kitchen to pour into. this is blend put a lid on and go? right? I just got it yesterday so I went large!
good info on fruit and veg. you can not overdose as long as you balance some colours :) but I made a smoothie anda salad with walnuts and it prolly cost me $5-6 I saw Tadlock metabolic smoothie Costco thing. pineapple for $9 kg.. we pay around $20 no joke..
Haha wow that’s crazy. Food prices def going up. And salad with walnuts sounds epic. Yeah I’ve been making a ton of smoothies lately, and you’re right overdosing is not a concern lol. Thanks for watching.
@@TravisVarga it is a good salad and sometimes I add a pickle or 3..or eat it first. I got some pears for $3kg so that's good. I can be using those in smoothies! I made soup along side my Nutribullet as I tried it out for the first time yesterday (after breaking my stick blender on a whole apple on wednesday). It was sooo delicious. I had boiled some lemon remains in the pot and not rinsed it purposefully. then I did put a little carrot and onion in with olive oil to kick off the soup, added stock, mushrooms, then some frozen spinach and cooked for about 5-10 minutes.. added some rice and 20 minutes later it was the best umami delicious satisfying lunch (nutritious and vegan unless you avoid oil or cooked food totally)...and I still had to eat the smoothie in a drink (that was just a decent wedge of lemon, fresh banana and frozen mango and pineapple with water).
Wow that sounds awesome. Your crushing chef duties and yeah, once you dial in the Nutribullet it is useful for a ton of things. No two smoothies are the same and you can try it alongside other kitchen creations and dinners/salads etc like yours as well.
Yo thanks for stopping by - no on this model it does not heat stuff up - it stays cold/cool and I've never noticed any heat increase. Potentially the 1700W model 'does' www.amazon.com/Magic-Bullet-NutriBullet-N17-1001-Blender/dp/B00N9IG28O - but i also have a friend recently said he has this RX 1700 and likes it. So could be a myth, I don't know. Don't think you can go wrong with any of them at these nutribullet variesties at this point, but I would at least get the Nutribullet 900. I think the Magic Bullet was fun but it's too small.
I’m sorry I’m not sure, the two versions I have in the video don’t fit. The bigger ones might all be similar but email Nutribullet and see if needed still.
Thanks Mark. Appreciate it - blender is still working great. Tons better than my older ‘Magic Bullet.’ If there was an issue to point out (minor one) it’s that every now and then the inside ‘plastic seal’ that sits inside the blade hub comes off - seems to happen when I have it a bit over-filled or not enough liquid. It’s somewhat easy to put back on, but I originally thought there wasn’t a removable seal. It is nice so you can clean it, but sometimes it pops off. Still getting delish smoothies and use it every other day.

I just threw out my nutri bullet 600 w it was 10 yrs old. Time to upgrade
Nice

Bought a magic bullet, way too small. Based on this video, I bought a Nutribullet. It’s awesome. Thank you!!!

@@minkademko2335 - Not sure what the 900 series is. But the magic bullet I bough had smaller containers….definitely no 32 ounce container.
So funny see all the reviews be fit people. Im buying this for milkshakes.
Haha - it will work great for those too (about to make a chocolate shake right now).
😂 great review..upgraded big time...youre naturally funny too...im subbing!
Thanks! Haha yea it’s def a new prized possession - appreciate the sub.
In comparison to the 900 you think it’s worth getting this one vs the 900?

I’d get this pro plus one yeah, it still works great. More power the better and you can find a deal where they are similar in price.
So the nutribullet pro sold in stores right now (target and Costco) says 900 watts only, I wonder why
Thanks for the comment. There is a similar looking version that has 900 watts. It doesn’t have the ‘pulse’ button but seems pretty similar otherwise.

There's the Nutribullet Pro - which is 900 watts, then the Nutribullet Pro + (plus) which is 1200.
Hi nice video. Just a quick question. Can you only blend in the 32 oz cup or can you also blend in the 24 oz cups as well? Thanks
Thanks Pete - You can blend in both cups. I usually alternate between the two, so yup, blend away.

Yup. Also yeah that lid can go on top so you just drink out of the smoothie cup itself and it works well.
magic bullet. yea you did a huge upgrade. i’ve had several nutrubullets but never that little magic bullet…
for sure, magic bullet is no where as good
