It really is amazing how each person can have such a different experience and perspective on a place! I agree the Aqueduct overall was not that incredible, especially after the initial part with the canals and pipe was over. I enjoyed the rest of that stark desert section once we got in to the mountains. Maybe I have rose colored glasses though since I just edited my footage of it and I was in a better headspace and physical health at the time I was there. 😊
I have heard that some people do not feel well near those large windmills. Unfortunately it seems you’re one of them! 😕

I enjoyed the mountain section a lot more then the aqua duct too, it would just be hard to get into that area without hiking the whole thing - hence why I suggest skipping the entire thing.
There was another guy I was hiking around that day going into Tehachapi and he started to feel sick, in the same way as me, around the same time as me, and we both couldn’t figure out why. It took me along time to figure out it was the turbines! Most people I talked to weren’t affected by them at all, but yeah they made me feel really ill!! Once I put my headphones in, I started to feel better! Lol!

@@debraonthego3960 fair point! Yeah hard to hitch it to the mountain section past the aqueduct with the wind farm there. I guess our experiences weren’t that different then. Just no queeze from the giant fans for meeze. 🤪

Yeah, that siesta thing doesn't work for everyone. And I guess it would also depend on your start date. Later in the spring and it's just too freakin hot, so Ive seen a few who sleep all day, and then hike all night in the dark!
Did you ever find out if that bear got rescued?

One of my biggest pet peeves is the “experts” or the well knowns telling everyone that they MUST do something. It saw it the other day, that everyone MUST take a siesta. That just grates me lol! Cool do it if you want too, but know you can totally not to do it and still stay alive 😂.
Literally every single common belief about how to thru hike is complete BS Imo! Haha!
I didn’t ever find out. We asked a group of guys headed back to town to call fish and wildlife to get it some help, but we will never know if they did or not. It was really sad so I try not to think about it too much
