I started diamond painting a few months ago and I am addicted to it I buy them all the time beautiful art work happy Wednesday have a great day Love from Canada new Brunswick ❤️❤️🙂🙂🙏🙏🇨🇦
Always like to listen to advise from someone who has been diamond painting for an extended period of time 😂. No I’m not making fun; just saying sometimes experience is better giving instruction and you can sometimes learn something new. So I’ll jump in on an instructional video even though I have some experience (about 3 yrs. now) Thank you for taking the time. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Newbie here. Thank you so much for sharing. I’m doing it for therapeutic purposes and I’m not a stickler for perfect lines. It’s great to see how to do multiple placements at a time.
Wow 😂that’s a very expensive puzzle!! I love the way you show new people how to do things because I struggled for a while & even after a couple years of doing it alone then I did join a Facebook group and I got a lot of sarcasm but finally got info I needed about a lot of things ❤
Thank you Rachel! This was very helpful. I love the new DAC multiplacers. I have been practicing with them and am feeling more comfortable in multi placing.
Checker board method is perfection! I love doing mine this way when not using a multiplacer. Even more satisfaction with square drills. Omg I thought I was the only one who stores them under my bed in an artist portfolio lmfao
Rachel, what wax are you using for your pen? It looks so clean and you have no problem picking up drills. And of course the important thing is you don’t have to keep refilling the wax.
I will have to keep practicing. I like doing the checkerboard, however, I tend to leave more gaps. If I touch them corner to corner, then overtime, I end up in the middle of a square.
The first diamond painting I did was squares. However, all the kits I have gotten since then have been round. I actually prefer the square but haven't been able to find any more to get. Everything I have seen since then have been round. 😦
I also would like to add the when you are multi-placing start from the right and go to the left. What I mean by this is place the diamonds in the order you read when I stared diamond painting I would start close to my right hand (all the way to the left ) when I did this it would push the diamonds to the right and they wouldn’t be strait but I’m also right handed so if your left handed then I would start to the left of the canvas Hope that makes sense 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you. That was very clear and helpful. I have some kits but am yet to start when I have a good window so I don’t have to rush and stuff it all up. 😸😸🌼🌸 I will be starting soon, just finishing a brick build project that is down to the fiddly bits. 😹😹
Thank you for this tutorial I’m new at diamond art I’ve done 2 small pieces but now on my 1st large piece and having a problem getting my drills straight.
What kind of wax do you use n what kind of sealant do you use last question is when you have extra diamonds left over do you throw them away or store them
I replayed You vedio More then once.. I like You vedios and i have learned from You a lot..🌹I want to say also i have your painting 😍 and i Just start Working on It.. I liked it from the moment You annonced about it in your first vedio.. I wish u luck.and i want to tell that there Arab People here especialy in saudi arabia they know you and love your vedios.. You just keep shaking til there's enough to paint with for a while and repeat! It's hard to get them all to flip over to the right side at once! I've genuinely never done that!
2 questions not related to this video but would like your opinion. 1) some dpers put washi tape along the back of their trays & say after shaking, the drills line up face up much better, & 2) have you used alien putty which many dpers say it’s the best they’ve ever used? Thank you.
Hi Rachael Rae, I am a newbie and diamond art painting. What kind of adhesive do you use? I like the little popping sound. A friend from knitting class at the YMCA told me about diamond art painting. I saw some at the dollar store. I tried it out and I got hooked. I love it it’s really relaxing.
❤ loving your videos Im new to DP and loving it. If you dont mind me asking I am have a problem getting my drills to line up in the trays. I see people doing it and they just fall into place but when I shake them they either go everywhere or the drills simply wont turn over. Is it me? I have purchased better bigger trays than the one I got in my first kit but still have same problem. It looks so easy in videos. Thank you for sharing your videos they are teaching me well and find them so relaxing. Liked and subscribed xx
Please tell me where you got the drill placer. I went to your store and didn't see any. I even tried to search with Google lens and no luck. Thank you for the great videos! 🌻🌟
Just found your channel and subscribed. I just started my third diamond painting. You give so many good tips. I have a question: how long does the pen last? I find that one of my pens have stopped picking up.
I have used one but I prefer the light pads instead. I do sometimes use pink wax! But I like my little stash of scented putty. There's nothing wrong with the pink wax xx
Hi Rachel , I'm new to diamond painting and new to your channel .This video was very helpful for me .I have a question , why is it that your's make a clicking sound and mine don't . There was another diamond painter that i watched one day , I can't remember who it was but her's did it also .What am I doing wrong ?Thank you so much fromthis Mema from Georgia b😊
I also want to ask you please does the shape of the pen really makes difference in doing diamond painting..? Or only the basic pen will do it as the Big one.¡!
Hello. I’ve been having some trouble with my drills being static-y. I’ve tried fabric softener and the freezer but neither worked and it’s very frustrating. Do you know of any tips or tricks to rectify this issue?
I recommend cutting up dryer sheets into inch-square pieces and placing them in each container. A little time consuming (or just toss one in as you're dping) but so so worth the anti-static properties. Shake the container gently when you put them in at first.
@@RachelRaeCraft yes to the plastic baggies. It’s what they came in and there were 3 bags worth of 1 color, so I left them in the bag so it wouldn’t take up all my little container storage for the drills. I’ll try blowing warm air into the bag. Thank you!
I appreciate the tips but I’m using a basic tray and a basic pen set with the cheap, plastic multiplacers. I struggled a lot with getting the drills aligned in the tray and I had a lot of problems with the drills not sticking to the multiplacer due to static. Maybe you could show us a tutorial using the tools that most of us use.
Hi Laura, here's another mutliplacing video using the old plastic tips (not thin) and a white tray. I used a large one but it is standard and not resin or 3d printed. th-cam.com/video/FO-M14TsuYA/w-d-xo.html
Is there a trick to how you get all your drills face up in your tray? I struggle with that BAD when I want to use the tip to pick up multiple at one time :( I'm new to diamond painting so doing 1 at a time but noticed your tray they all looked upright!! LOL
@@RachelRaeCraft ok, I have the new multi placers by DAC the 4 and the 12 and I was curious if you noticed a difference. I haven’t really but it’s definitely a learning curve. I am getting better 😊
I am like you, I don't care much about everything being 100% straight. They usually tend to fix themselves over time anyway (especially on a square painting)
If I make a mistake I do what you do, and move the diamond back to the right position, but then a few minutes later I’ll look at it and it has gone all wonky again.
I have tried multi placers soooo many times I’m crap at it my border collie could do a better job hahaha I use single placers (obviously lol 😂) and always use the checker board method my pictures aren’t the straightest but once framed and up on my wall they look good so I’m not too worried I do occasionally use a straightener at the end but fint it bunches the drills up and they pop off it’s infuriating haha thank you for your beautiful videos ❤
I'm going to try this tomorrow checker board effect and when I receive my new set of pens a placers I'll be able to try with the assortment of multi placers I'll hopefully receive my order on Wednesday 17th July 2024 I'm a left handed my friend started me on diamond painting during the first lock down I'm now addicted I now spend to much time either doing them or looking to purchase more I've completed nine so far some being small and nothing to large yet

How do you get the drills to line up right side up in the tray? When I shake them, they move around but leave many with wrong sides up.
Practice using a small amount of diamonds in the tray and flicking your wrist to adjust them. I think it's a skill that is mastered over time.
I shake them. Some turn over, some don.t. I use the ones that are right, then shake it again.
When I put diamonds in tray a lot end up upside down I gently shake tray some come up right but some still stay upside down any tips

Where did you get your tray from? It seems like it aligns the diamonds very easily compared to some of the beginner ones that I’ve used.

I believe this one is from DiamondArtClub.com
Thank you for the tips. Always helps to hear other people’s perspectives. May I ask what portfolio you use?? Especially for the larger paintings?
I have an A1 size, anything larger gets rolled and stored in their box
Just found your channel and subscribed. I just started my third diamond painting. You give so many good tips. I have a question: how long does the pen last? I find that one of my pens have stopped picking up.
The brass tips can bend quite easily, so you might need to switch it out with a newer one or get a stainless steel tip - those never wear down
I got my first diamond painting recently how do you always get the satisfying sound?
I use diamond painting putty instead of the pink wax :)
@ Thank you!! :)
I do the checkerboard thing a lot. I find it feels that I am filling the canvas quicker, seems like it.
where did you get the drill tray
How do u get your dimonds in try to stay in the row like that
Brilliant, thank you
Do you work with same color of dots in a certain area before switching colors?
Yes, I fill in all the spots with that color in a small section before I move onto another.
Thank you ❤
Rachel how do you get the fold from the canvas that were formed while packaged in the box?
Do you mean get rid of? Personally, I roll the canvas the opposite way, then lay it flat with heavy books on top for a few hours.
@@lizza4250 Thanks. I counter roll them, but didn't think about the books.
Why does you tool click each time you place your diamond? What pen is that?
It's the sound of the putty I use, it's linked in the description if you'd like to try it out!
Also the pen is from Diamond Pen Pal
I am new to this craft. Have you used a lighted pen , is it worth it? Do you use the little pink glue pads that come in the kit? Thanks.

They are used for things like tracing in drawing and art... You put them under the canvas and it lights up the symbols :)
