Depends but usually ceiling mount you do need to know about what the manufacturer recommend because it depends on antenna position

Yes definitely, downside is you need to run a cable, but it will beat the speed of the mesh

@@JVBL1 access points are generally not used to connect specific devices to you can connect Wi-Fi cameras to them a cheaper way is to just put one in a weatherproof electrical enclosure
