Oh, I think they *all have big personalities. The two I think of immediately are Chuck, of course, and my lead hen Cleopatra. So much grace, so much attitude! My flock brings me so much joy and fills my life with awesome experiences daily. Thank you for your question!
Yes, this sounds like she is being absorbed into the pecking order. Keep an eye on things. I would intervene if the bullying lasts more than 30 consecutive seconds or there are resulting injuries that are bleeding. Some pecking is natural as the flock reorganizes. Provide as much space as possible during this transition and this should alleviate some of the bullying. Extra roosting space also helps. Also additional food and water stations allow all the members of the flock to eat and drink without less prominent members being crowded out. Hopefully she will be part of the flock soon.
