Makes me upset cause you can find archived audio files for the characters or hell try to get most of the actors back. Unless Nick sucks at archiving their shit
This was my first game with my N64 that I got for Christmas in 1998 when I was 6 years old so it holds a special place in my heart too despite that there’s not much to it.
Honestly, me too. I personally loved that game, along with Search For Reptar. Granted, I was maybe 5-6yo and knew no better, but I always had fun with those Rugrats games. Very nostalgic
I can understand not affording every voice actor for each character to record new dialogue, but couldn’t they at least have used archived audio for each character?
@@CoolMagmar they could've had the chars speak without moving their mouths. It'd be lazy, but still something? But nah, even that was too much effort appearently, lol
Me and my sister played ALOT of Nickelodeon Party Blast when we were young, we had a shit computer, and it could only run that game, we would even share an entire keyboard just to play. It's pretty much one of the new good memories I have with her since me and her nowadays dont get along that well.
"i guess ill see you in 2 more years with nick kart racer 3" Nah your getting the surprise knife of nickelodeon All star brawl (the surprise is that its being made by people with talent)
Austin, as a Nickelodeon fan, you cannot call Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 a quickly pumped out sequel with the amount of deep cut references in the game. there was definitely a ton of more Nickelodeon love put into this game that deserves recognition. The lack of voice clips is definitely a sour spot, but the effort in references to these past shows kept me going.
I see a lot of people talk about the disappointment of the Legend of Korra beat-'em-up game made by Platinum... but I don't hear many people even mention the 3DS tactics game, where Tenzin flying in on his bison is represented by wobbling the picture of him slightly, and the one thing that Earthbenders like Lin and Bolin can't handle in a fight is getting punched. No, seriously, they're weak to any and all non-elemental attacks. Like basic attacks.
That P* TMNT game was a real shame. IIRC it was developed in like 8 months by a junior team, and the release date got bumped up to coincide with the 2nd CGI turtles movie. It's got the bones of a good TMNT brawler but man is that one undercooked pizza pie.
And of the trilogy of games they put out of licensed stuff it's easily the most depressing. The transformers one was short but sweet, Korra was a licensed Korra game, but TMNT was such a waste. The fact it's still one of the best games they've released under the TMNT brand in the last 10 years (if not more like 20) is a sad testament of how bad the games have gotten.
I had a flashback to an old game show called finders keepers while watching this, it was made in the late 80s a whole decade before i was born so i have no idea how or where i watched it.
"The music feels 100% stock." Uh, I would reconsider that if I were you. For these reasons: • In the A:TLA and TLoK courses, there are some instruments that sound like those you'd hear in those shows' soundtracks. • In the Ghost Zone, at least the start of the music for that course sounds like the Danny Phantom theme song. • Dreamland's music sounds fitting for JoJo Siwa.
Nickelodeon charges an astronomical amount of money for licensing of their properties, and apparently it's considerably cheaper to just license the likeness of each character than to do likeness and voice together. I also have been lead to understand that if you do license both at the same time, there are specific voice actors you must contract to do the voice work on the game.
I....I think I rented Rugrat's Scavanger Hunt in our local game shop once and I had up until this moment completely suppressed that memory...I am still not sure...but there is something oddly familiar about those boards with incredibly dark and boring backgrounds...
I had like 6 rugrats games growing up, many of which appeared in those assorted clips you included. However, there was also an All Grown Up computer game, and it might be worse than any of the ones you've shown (albeit i remember liking it as a kid, i also recall the game's controls being a hellscape). Sort of hope it shows up here eventually.
The biggest problem that series is has which super robot ones to have is all the levels have so many enemys they take over a hour to beat and those X Zone sprites scream put me into a Arcade Stlye 2d Beat Em Up
I remember renting Rugrats Scavenger Hunt from Blockbuster. I had rented Super Smash Brothers previously, and I think it was the very first time I saw the drastic difference in quality of games as a 7 year old.
Considering how creative and fun Rugrats is, it's a shame they couldn't get ONE banger. Even though the demo to Royal Ransom will always have a place in my heart.
Search for reptar sort of rocks. Instead of throwing in a bunch of enemies so the game could have more action it stays down to earth, and is mostly nonviolent like the show was. You can beat the whole thing in like an hour, less than three if you want see everything (if you're a rugrats fan you probably will want to)
Royal Ransom was one of my big childhood favorites. I played through that game more times than I can count, haha. While I haven’t personally played it in ages so I can’t speak in regards of the controls, I’ve recently looked back at gameplay of it and honestly? It’s not that bad. Not GREAT, mind you, but for a licensed game aimed at young children, it was pretty alright.

@@ChristianWS. I've probably put more hours into Devastation than any other action game due to the Challenge mode, and honestly it just boils down to building up the highest rarity you've got of each weapon type. You can get into feeding it specific passive abilities if you want, those can tailor the weapon to certain play styles. Really, once you've got several S weapons and a handful of SS just from playing on Magnus and Prime for a few hours you are set to tackle the more insane Challenges with pretty much every character. So I try to play the game on the Commander difficultly, but then I need to relearn what stats I should use that aren't overpowered or does cheap damage. To replay the game I have to prepare mentally for it, its way more than necessary to replay Bayonetta.
