Great tip on flushing out the water heater!

Thank you! We bought a second-hand 2706WS, and didn't have the manuals. Your video saved us while trying to close for the winter for the first time! Made it super easy!

Thanks, we bought this same model a few months ago and are now looking forward to performing this winterizing process within weeks. Much appreciated.

Thanks for the video. I am a novice at this, but my girlfriend inherited two RV's in Nov. 2021.They are in Carlsbad, NM. I was down last weekend right before a cold snap or polar vortex Sat. night Jan 1st 2022. I wasn't able to winterize the campers, but I emptied the fresh water tanks and drained the H2O heaters and put RV antifreeze in the P-Traps. I will be going back in the next week or two, using your method, hopefully the lines are not split. If so I will need a video on "How to replace split water lines". LOL

Just moved from SoCal to upstate NY - so never had to winterize before... I’m about to do this for my Rockwood 2706WS and this was a huge help. Thanks!!

Well done! Watched a few other videos on Rockwood winterizing but yours was the clearest, and easiest to follow. Nice Job.

Thank you for this video! This is the closest video I have to use as a reference point for my 2906WS. I have had my camper for 3 years now. The first year it was in the shop do the dealership blew it out. Last year I used a friend for help. This year I am going to try to do it all by myself. I loved how you mentioned the 1/16th socket because I was trying to remember what tools I need to bring along with me. **Note** After I posted this I noticed it is attached to my son's TH-cam Account. Oopsies

Wanted Carrion You are very welcome. Happy that I have helped the community in some way. It is so easy to do and the new RV’s make it virtually fool proof with the winterizing ports. It’s hard to believe that dealers in our area of the country charge $100 or more and I guaranty they are not as thorough as I am in this video. Good luck winterizing and thanks for the feedback!

Good instructional video. I have a Rockwood 2604WS and this will work for that model as well. Only one thing. It is POTable not PORTable water. I worked for the airlines and it drove me crazy when people would say portable water. Sorry. But really, thanks for a good video.

Keith Palazzo hi Keith! Thanks for the feedback. Glad I could be of some assistance. I’m saying “POATable” instead of “POTable”....I giggle when I hear people say PORTable too.

That was a great "how to". We took ours to the dealer since we have so much going on right now, but you made it look easy! Thanks for sharing! -V

It really is easy! Our dealer charges $100 for this.....ridiculous for how simple this is. Thanks for the feedback...I appreciate it!

RV Antifreeze has 2 options, one being non-alcohol. I've always used the non-alcohol stuff on our Hotsy pressure washer as alcohol can/will dry out rubber seals and gaskets over time.
I've had good luck with the 'Splash' brand which is available at Menards and our local Bomgaars (TCS, Orschelns, etc). In the fall it'll be on sale for .99 cents/gal.
For reference, out Hotsy is always on a cement floored 40x75 non-insulated machine shed. When it's -25f outside, its -25f inside

question when you remove the mineral plug from the water heater is it put back in or do you store it?

Great video. Thanks much. Question I have is...While you were blowing out the low point drains with the compressed air, you then went around the camper and opened each faucet. Was the compressed air running the whole time you were opening each faucet?

Great vid I have a question I am thinking about purchasing a 2606WS if you had to do it again would you buy this camper again. Are you happy with your choice.

    • @myhousefollowsme9963
      @myhousefollowsme9963  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Thanks for the question Steve Fritsch. We sure would! We both love this floor plan for a couples coach. The only thing we would probably change is to get the theater seating instead of the couch. We wanted to make sure we had a queen bed for visitors. A decent enough goal...but we just don’t have guests that awesome. Rockwood makes a great camper. I don’t think you go wrong. Thanks for the subscribe! And stay tuned for more tweaking vids in the upcoming weeks. We got some upgrades to install.
