  • This one is definitely a lot better than Simon Flash.
This is also the first full-size game Badic Fun had ever made, later followed by the Speak & Spell (2019) that came out a few years ago, which I do also have.
Those both share the same thing in common.
They were made to be as retro as possible, and that’s really awesome!
What makes this particular Simon very unique is that it actually has a tiny LCD screen, the lenses aren’t buttons, but are just touch sensitive, and the only button on the unit is for powering it on, and selecting game modes.
This game also has a lot of charm put into it.
That little LCD screen actually has animations, like for whenever you lose, get a high score, and so on.
    That’s actually really cool.
It’s not in print anymore, unfortunately, but they do tend to surface on eBay occasionally, which is good.
If you’re looking for a good entry point that’s not the original, but plays just like the original, go for this one.
    It still holds up.

    This one is really cool.
It’s the very first “true reboot” of Simon, and is still highly recommended today.
The little LCD screen it has that shows all those animations is also a cool idea.
This was not just by Basic Fun, by the way, as Basic Fun was actually bought out by Hasbro.
This came out a year before Simon Swipe, as well, and, thankfully, that masterpiece is next on the list!
This one was definitely made to be as retro and nostalgic as possible.
Unfortunately, it’s no longer in print, but, thankfully, I do see them pop up on eBay once in a while.
Definitely go for this one if you love retro throwback stuff, like I do, or if you’re a hardcore Simon fan, like I am.
