As I stated, the overall quality of the video WAS NOT MY FAULT. My laptop has no space for lengthy videos anymore. I’m going to have to resort to using my iPad when making videos like this. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this video!
Bop it Sorry about that first comment the ending didn’t make sense. It’s because I was using dictation on my phone, and it said something else which was really weird, after I sent it, it drove me insane. He he he
Thanks for making this video. I have the original Simon but just got fed-up with its old school battery system. I was considering to buy battery adapters in order to reduce the barrier. But after I saw your video I decided to pickup the micro-Simon. And I am very happy with my purchase!!
11:13...The 1990s Simon brought back some nostalgia for me. I used to carry it with me back and forth to school, to family trips Etc. It was something to do to pass the time and or keep occupied. When I was 10 or 11 yrs old 2000 - 2001 it either got lost or thrown away.
I grew up with that one, too! Was that the only one you had as a kid? I’m genuinely curious. I’m also wondering f you ever played a Bop It game before.
Which pocket Simon do you prefer? The 1980s pocket Simmons, or the 1995 pocket Simmons? I really like the 1995 pocket Simmons because personally, since I’m blind, I play games because of the sounds, and the 1995 pocket Simmons ladder, and easier to understand.
Yeah. I like the older sound effects. I have a 1978 original but it has the beep instead of the bugle. I think the bugle versions came first. I think you’re right on that.
Yeah. Thanks for the info! 👍🏻🙂 It’s actually kinda odd, though, because Super Simon never got a second release, making Super Simon the oldest Simon in my entire collection, as the tones don’t hold, but loop.
Honestly, it's up to your personal preference, really. My favorite is the Micro Series, mainly because of how challenging the gameplay is for something so small, but if you want something more simplistic, I'd definitely recommend the Simon Trickster Pocket Edition, since it has multiple modes to choose from.
I have Pocket Repeat, got it when I was 8 in 1992. Does the full sized Copy Cat have the same scoring system as Copy Cat Jr/Pocket Repeat? Yes Copy Cat was much that same in terms of gameplay as Simon, but if the full sized Copy Cat had the same scoring system as Copy Cat Junior then that makes it a little different to Simon, doesn't it? It's kind of ironic that Tiger made a Simon clone or sorts, then of course Hasbro bought out Tiger, did they buy MB Games too? Now all Simon games are made by Hasbro.
Yes, but not as fast as the original. It just gets moderately faster as the game goes on, if that makes sense. This also applies to Simon Darth Vader Edition, as well, in case you were curious.
Where can you get the super Simon? The one from 2003? I have the same in micro, I have the 2020 model, I used to have the salmon shrimp, but I gave it away. I really want a 2013 Simon, and Simon trickster. Oh, and by the way, when it said shrimp, it meant salmon swipe.
It sucks that it's super fun to find because it's so freaking cool. I'm blind as you know lol, and I literally want every single Simon, because I love the sound effects. But some of them are hard to play. Do you have VTEC wizard? It's very very very similar to Simon.
What’s your favorite Simon game? My favorite, if you the classic Simon, or, the same in micro, I really want to get the same in trickster, super Simon, and pocket time in for my birthday.
I have Simon Vader as well, I don’t really like it My least favorite is Simon swipe, what’s your least favorite? Since I’m blind, I can’t play Simon swipe, but hopefully I can play the basic fun Simon, which I really want for my birthday, do you know if I could play it?
I don’t count that, for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s just a reprogrammed version of the Micro Series, right down to using the exact same mold and design. Second, much like Bop It Bounce, or, more accurately, The Bop It That Must Not Be Names, Dan Klitsner wants nothing to do with it, to the point where he wants to pretend it didn’t exist, and honestly, I don’t blame him in the slightest.
No, I know. I intentionally skipped that, because it's hard to get one in decent condition, and the batteries would most likely be dead, and unless I'm misremembering something, the batteries can't be replaced at all.
I couldn’t showcase it in this particular video, because I was using my iPad in landscape mode, but I did upload a video of Optix on my channel if you are interested. In case you want my thoughts on the game, simply put, I’d argue it’s one of the most underrated incarnations of Simon ever made, just like Trickster and even Stix.

When I looked up super Simon on eBay, it always comes up with the 1979 version but I don’t want that one😢

correct but the distance from the camera is something you could have controlled
No-one knows how LOUD the Simon touch is.

16:14 how the Simon trickster said "Later!" When you failed. It was perfectly timed!

Simon micro is one of the only simons to use simon swipe's sound effects, and one of the only simons to have 2 or more buttons lit up during gameplay
The last to feature the multi-lit buttons during gameplay is: Simon AIR (2014)
I got a Simon trickster for Christmas
Nice
11:13 vs 24:00 which pocket simon is better to get? and is the purple logo of the clear simon a sticker and easily scratched?
Honestly, it's up to your personal preference, really.

You should do this with bop it

i love simon games
Where can I get the pocket time in from 1995?
Simon MB: Year: 1978 The Lands Of Simon: Year: 1980
29:50 I have this one except it's the one that has a gray button and also takes 3 AA
Ooh, nice!
What’s your high score?
Does the 2020 or 2015 simon classic speed up like the original?
Yes, but not as fast as the original.
It just gets moderately faster as the game goes on, if that makes sense.
This also applies to Simon Darth Vader Edition, as well, in case you were curious.

It’s really hard to track down.
I was lucky enough to get one, actually.
It’s very rare, and only sometimes pops up on sites like eBay.

Ralph baer made simon and its brother super simon possible

You are missing Simon sticx
I intentionally skipped it because I couldn't find a practical way of showcasing it on camera.
I did give it it's own review in the past, though.
I have seen the review of the Simon sticx
The first year is 1980 not 1990
Yeah, I must’ve gotten that backwards somehow and didn’t realize that until you pointed it out. Haha
I’m not exactly the best with numbers.
