  • Russia Signs Nuclear Deal With Mali, Advances Footprint in West Africa | Firstpost Africa
Mali's ruling military junta and Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom signed three cooperation deals. The two sides discussed projects including a Russian-designed low-power nuclear power plant, Rosatom said on Wednesday. Rosatom did not give details about the proposed low-power nuclear power plant that could be built in Mali. Rosatom has been seeking to drum up business by signing cooperation agreements with countries across the continent. It is already building a nuclear power plant in Egypt, while it has signed nuclear cooperation deals with Burkina Faso and Algeria. Russia has strengthened ties with juntas in West Africa's Sahel region that have turned away from traditional Western allies.

The African population will coup their leaders or force their leaders to start working with Russia. These are great times for Africa. It's absolutely having versatility and choices. I think Russia will come through because everyone is watching and hoping for their failure and they know this. The West will always speak bad about Russia. Lunumba said in one of his wonderful Pan African Speeches said-- thus -- "For America and The Western Countries to RESPECT Africa and African Countries, we as African Leaders , must try to develop Nuclear Power, then ańd only then can America and The West can RESPECT Africa as a sovereign Continent as they Respect North Korea, because they -- America and The West Respects The North Korea because they have NUCLEAR POWER.
Of course this will NOT be the aim of African Countries with Nuclear Power, instead their soul aim is to create or to develop Electricity for their People and for Industrial porpuses. But in case those countries who wants to threaten African Countries because they dont have NUCLEAR POWER, then those countries can think twice because African Countries have NUCLEAR POWER. Thanks.

Why did you allow this guy to talk this long? He sounds so biased that I am questioning why you did not challenge him on why the so called West have done nothing to benefit these countries. EVER...

I remember when Russia used to hold Nigeria iron company in warri, it was very successful before Nigeria government end it. I believe because of other European countries playing dirty politics.

Your report on the Alliance in the sahel is garbage. You get paid to bring that boring individual in interview talking about things he was told to say. As a sahelian you and your media must stop with fake news craps. Here the people are in tune with their leadership.

Pls call those Leaders, Presidents for respect to those nations. We're done with western system, we need to re design typically an African system.

Stop calling these so-called experts like this guy from Liverpool onto your platform. His opinions are so deviated from the true. What country in the world can develop without the necessary power capable of running big industries. Mali nuclear power plant contract is based on economic reasons only. For military reasons, we have already a very good relationship. The West should look at the rest of the world different or it will too late for the western countries.
