Good afternoon, thanks for the video. Great information. I’ll be there as a rider for the first time. I love 40 minutes away and been going since 2000. It’s always a pleasure to go to bike week. Have a great day.
When I lived in northwest PA, I shared your perspective of bike week. But now I live between Daytona Beach and Saint Augustine and...as someone that prefers to avoid crowds...I mostly just tolerate it.😄 I have some favorite back roads in the area between Crescent Lake and the St. Johns River...if you're interested.
There ain't 500,000 bikes at Bike Week these days, Bob & Tam do a good analyzation of attendance. I first came to Daytona in 1973 and have lived here pretty much for over 30 years and while Main St. is still the main attraction the traffic is no longer backed up on the 2 main Daytona bridges like it was in the 1990's. Granted it's more spread out now but everyone even the City over inflates the attendance numbers. Look inside the Speedway... Ghost Town, and that's what this event was all about back in the day. Racing, not the clown parade that these 'Rallies' are today.
I think because it's more spread you don't see the numbers. Now, I clearly remember being in traffic on the bridge that leads to main street. Matter of fact it was the same year I was busted for doing the burnout at the Hess. We go to Daytona a day or two then head out to ride south to Orlando, Tampa, Alligator Alley, South Beach, then to Key West. I guess the question is, do we count as those half mill? On the raceway, I'll agree. The place is usually a ghost town inside the speedway but where the manufacturers and vendors are is where the people are. Sturgis without a doubt has better places to ride by far, not even a contest. Thanks for commenting, thanks for watching ✌🏽

Not being a jerk but this video much easier to watch when I set playback speed to 1.5X. My mind moves too fast To listen attentively at slower speeds
That's ok, I'm more of a John Wayne than a James Cagney 😄
Thanks for watching.
Anyone who doesn't like Daytona Bike Week, should sell their bike and quit riding.
I think people who don't like it have never been 😄
Thanks for watching!
I didn't like it, but I will go this year just to get my bars installed. It's definitely a turn and burn for me
