If you want a more tranquil, beautiful place to stay on the Lagos Island axis of the city, Ikoyi, Lekki Phase 1and 2, Victoria Garden City, Banana Island, Lakowe Estate, Royal Garden Estate and others are the ideal places to go.

    I’m watching from South Africa, electric poles and wires littered the supposed well up graded city, part of the Vi not green and looks older model development, maintenance is what is lacking behind to a supposed green tech hub city of Africa due to its coastline business district. Lagos state government should work very hard in upgrading old cities to meet up with modernisation of a shift city make over most especially green energy renewable environments. Lemme list out shits that’s going bad to Nigerian cities and roads:
    1: them tiny funny looking buses, keke napep and bikes plying the roads🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ can’t Nigerian cities have standard and also city transport and buses clean and well maintained???
    2) open drainage aka gutter 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ can’t all Nigerian cities have drainage like they have in SA?
    3) them electric poles and cables everywhere making cities nationwide look ugly
    4) roads generally not properly marked, lacking road/traffic signs, some roads bad and pot holes
    6) lack of clean and standard low level pedestrian walk path on roads. Street and traffic lights should be standard especially cities outside Lagos
    7) pedestrian should know where to be and where not to be. I be seeing people crossing expressway etc, street hawkers and sellers. There should be regulation n standard for operation for all that
    If naija can successful fix that, the cities will look clean and decent.

    Thank goodness for the coming of Abuja, Lagos is a poorly planned city. Worse still, there is no serious effort to correct the defects and improve the metropolitan layout of the city. Poor drainage, no wide roads and carriageways, no leisure parks with floral splendour and vegetation, no standard beach resorts (the only one that existed has been demolished for a useless interstate coastal highway) and no marked roads.

    • @FreddyPateki
      @FreddyPateki หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ignorant comment but you thought you made sense. Just say you thought landmark is the only beach resort in Lagos, oga them plenty ok. Rating a private beach resort over the Lagos Calabar coastal highway and calling it a useless highway, already exposed your weak thinking and short sightedness. Who owns the beach front to start with?
