    This was fun to watch. I was on this show with the Granby HS students in 1967 and got to meet Dick Lamb and Gene Loving....great memories. Wish they had videos of all the shows still available for us to watch! :)

    This is fascinating to me! Being 26, and in Cleveland, never even heard of this! Those 15-16-17, year olds, are now: 73-74-75! Fascinating and interesting!

      I saw you, Rozzie! And a dozen other friends from the band, as well as my classmates and others I haven't seen in over 50 years. And amazingly, they all look the same as they did in high school!

    Didn't expect to run across this. Had no idea there was any complete local television footage surviving from this era.

    Still mid-1960s; the MOD era was still in it's infancy judging by a lot of these local teen shows.

    Say do you have any other episodes whole or in part from that general time period? I was playing guitar with "Keith" who had the top ten hit "98.6" then and we passed thru Tidewater on 2 different tours in 1967 - one around this time, March. I think literally the week right before this episode you posted and again when we played the Dome on the Dick Clark "Where The Action Is" tour - April 9th. On one of those 2 tours we were in town an extra day or two and lip-synced our record on Disco 10. I tend to think it was in March. I would love to see that tape if it exists. What do you think?

      Mike Johnstone I wish I could help, but this is the only episode I had. It is my understanding that it was believed that all of the shows had been destroyed, likely because it was common to reuse videotape due to the cost.

    So, this was recorded by some viewer who had some type of video tape recorder that preceeded the 70s VCR?

    • @videobill1974
      @videobill1974  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Actually this was from the original 2" broadcast video tape. That is why the production slate at the beginning of the show was included. The poor quality could have been a combination of the condition of the tape as well as the machine I was able to dub it from in the early 90's.

      @@videobill1974 Interesting, would you happen to know if anyone in the 60s had some type of TV recorder they could use at home?

    • @videobill1974
      @videobill1974  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@oldiesgeek454 From a Google search, there were some "home" units made in the early 60's, but they were typically black and white, reel to reel, had a short record time, and were very expensive.
