  • After about 1200 miles, it was time to change out the factory oil for Kawasaki Full Synthetic Oil and a new filter. To me, all vehicles just feel and run better after a fresh oil change. I also purchased a Kawasaki Oil Change Kit that came with 5 quarts of oil, a filter, and two new crush-washer seals.
I purchased an oil drain pan, low profile, made for motorcycles, and this made the job easy, clean, and well organized.

Always refer to your Owner's Manual for proper procedures and torque values, etc. Thanks for watching.

Just a thought… one way to achieve recommended torque on the oil filter is to use a filter with
the bolt attached (I have K&N 303C). The nut on it is conveniently 17 mm like the 2 drain plugs

Thanks Dave, I have used the K&N before and they are great! I may have to go that way next time. Thanks for the comment.

I was just about to suggest the same thing. With the nut on top, K&Ns are so easy to spin on/off, get the right torque, and never worry about getting a filter tool stuck or worse, the filter itself and having to pierce it with a screwdriver to get it off.
Great video! I'm thinking about replacing my Concours with a Voyager and was surprised to see Voyagers have sufficient clearance to do an oil change without using a shop-type lift.

@@kretonslovechild7999 I have a 2010 Voyager and a 2019 Concours. I rode nothing but crotch rockets until I was 60 years old and bought a used 2007 Nomad. I like the Concours to replace my Hayabusa I let my stepson have.

I am in the process of ordering a 2024 Voyager for next spring. Currently I have a 2015 1400 ABS and figure it is time to get a new bike. I really appreciate you sharing what you have been doing to your bike.
    Thanks
    Jim

Glad to hear it Jim! I have to admit, there's nothing like a new bike! Let me know how it works out for you and congrats on the new 2024.
