Does facebook Suggest Friends Who Look at your Profile

The Facebook algorithm does suggest friends to your profile using different variables. One of the most important variables is the proximity in which your cell phone connects to other cell phones with the Facebook app. This means that if you’re hanging around people with their cell phones in their pocket with Facebook on it chances are Facebook is going to suggest you guys to be friends. Another variable that Facebook uses to suggest friends for your profile is to connect hobbies that are similar. If you were heavily into a hobby and post about it a lot and are in Facebook groups regarding it Facebook is going to suggest other people with similar hobbies.
This is how the Facebook algorithm was designed to bring friends together. A lot of people get a bit scared by how all of this works but it’s an algorithm designed to meet friends and that’s exactly what it does. if you are feeling vulnerable or think, Facebook is a bit sketchy, you can choose to set some stricter Facebook profile settings on your personal profile.

I ended up here out of curiosity. Lately I’ve noticed a lot of friend suggestions of people I do not see, have not looked up, nor have any of their contact information. For example … my first ever boyfriend from 18 years ago, my coworkers wife (LOL), ex fling, coworker, etc. it’s strange, and a little spooky! Interesting info … I may have popped in the mind 😅

I have people showing up that I literally have NOTHING in common with. Not my city, not my work, no mutual friends...

It probably is whenever you add one of those people that have all the other friends added, and suggest their friends

For the past 2 weeks I've had ex girlfriends show up as suggested friends both in the notification section on the app and in the section that appears that random as you scroll through the main feed.
I haven't visited their profiles nor did I knew they weren't even visible because last I checked I had blocked them so it's like they made new accounts which actually has me concerned based on what you said in the video. My wife actually thinks it's funny, I don't.
