I still prefer the TRD skid plate. Pitch in the extra bucks and get a heavy duty skid plate. It is a one person removal and install plate. I just prefer a plate that requires you to take it completely off so you can visualize the all the other components that the skid plate hides. Also the allen wrench heads are a real pain in the arse as compared to the standard bolts. The TRD plate is heavier because it is stronger. My 2024 Tacoma OR is getting the Toyota TRD plate. Also I’m getting the rear diff skid plate as well. To each his own Rob and I admire your skid plate but not as much as the TRD Plate.
Great video! We are excited to offer a product that is unlike any other on the market. Countless hours were spent to make something strong, lightweight, and convenient. We're stoked about the support brace which is triangulated and wide to make sure all force is spread out over the plate (much better than spacers!).
It is an excellent product! Well engineered, light weight (but not too light) and very easy to install. It’s a must have to replace the OEM composite gravel guard that came on the Tacoma!
Why put on skid plates when you told us you're never going to take it off road. Kind of like when you said you didn't need 4 wheel drive because you don't go off roading. Lol. You make me laugh.
I can’t believe you put a shiny chrome skid plate on your truck. Never thought I’d see the day. 😂😂
Lol! It’s stainless. (I did consider painting it)!
I have the Miller Cat Shield already. Definitely will look in to the skid plate.
It's a great product. Spot on fit and excellent quality👍
I like all aspects of this shield, good vid Rob !
I am very happy with it👍
Great video what size tires do you have on your Tacoma?
285/65/R18
@ I put 275/65/r18 on my stock rims BF Goodridge, all-terrain white letters out my 2024 Tacoma sport 2 Wheel Dr. white
Looks good!
Thanks👍
Nice video Rob, just wondering is that skid plate paintable? Like white and red color combo? thank you!!!!
If you scuff it and use primer I don’t see why not.
I need that in my Tacoma
You do! Every Tacoma needs this. Make sure you look at the video description on how to save 10% until Nov. 30th👍
@RobMotive Definitely will
How much did you buy it for? Could you give me the page to buy one for myself please? I also have a 2024 Tacoma?
Have a look in the video description. The link and how to get 10% is there👍
Apparently comments about having a screw loose are no longer valid.

You forget. He doesn't go off roading. He doesn't need this.
@charlesjaeger7735 Have a look at my response to the first comment you posted regarding this👍
Way better then that heavy steel skid plate i will order the same one for my tacoma very good video thanks Rob
I agree! I also like the larger access panels for oil and oil filter changes👍
A skid plate for someone that never takes their truck off road. LOL
Ever run over debris on the roads? Unfortunately I have. Skid plates afford more protection than from just off-road hazards👍
Why toyota came out with that skid plate thing is beyond me. Seems they have a geek squad at work.
Thru call it a gravel guard. Not sure it’s even fit for stones!

I can see where that's going to weigh a lot less than that steel one that you put on. Good for you on that Rob. It looks fantastic
It is. Plus you can’t beat the large access panels👍

For protection from materials on the road. I’ve seen countless pieces of wood and debris on the roads. Not to mention large rocks.
