Note that not all E4 Plus models have the SD427. The one I made my dad buy had a MediaTek MT6737, which is on par with the SD410, and paired with 3GB of RAM.
A phone that sports 720p screen is awesome, especially for gaming. You're using less GPU power to drive that game and thus your phone lasts longer and doesnt get as hot. I'd always recommend a 720p phone after downgrading from a 1080p one if you're gonna be gaming.

Try the LeEco Le Pro 3 (preferably with Lineage OS). Snapdragon 821, 4 GB Ram, and 64 GB storage for less than $250. Strongly recommend Lineage OS actually, the stock software is terrible.

I bought this phone because a friend had it, and I wasn't really thinking very hard about how good of a phone it would be, but after spending a month with this phone, I stand by it as the best possible use of your money. This video overlooks some really neat features of a lot of Moto phones, such as the Moto display. I can take this phone out of my pocket, and it doesn't matter how or where I grab it. The phone just shows the time, my battery, and even notification previews when it detects motion. The one button navigation is another big one. My previous phone was an iPhone 6s, and I can not begin to tell you how I despised double clicking the home button for multitasking. I'm the type of battery jew that needs all apps to be closed after I use them, so I'll be using multitasking a lot. All I need to do on the Moto e4 plus is swipe right on the fingerprint sensor (which, functionally, is really just a capacitive home button). Moto impresses me. They know what to add, and what not to add. Android is completely stock, only having one extra "Moto" app for configuring the Moto features. There is absolutely no bloatware. I wish more phone manufacturers would adopt the center position for the camera, as it's impossible to accidentally block the camera with your thumb. Also . . . Headphone jack. Fuck yeah.

So I've had this phone for a month. Although it maintains it's 130ish dollar price tag, I managed to find one from Best buy on eBay for 70 bucks. All I can say is it's hands down the best sub $200 phone I've ever owned.
Having a standard micro USB port can actually be a good thing because you can be sure everyone has it. Not everyone has a USB-C cable so if you leave yours at home, there's a chance no one else has a USB-C cable you can borrow.
This phone is the only time I've been this excited about a low-end devices. Fully carrier agnostic, unlockable bootloader, stock Android, and battery life that means I won't need to baby my phone when working 12 hour days at work or playing Pokemon Go. I don't need a powerful device...if I'm playing intense games I have my PC for that. A Pixel/Nexus like experience with 2 days battery for under $200...I don't care how "boring" the device is, the things that it hits are the targets I'm aiming for.
