I'd suggest using aluminium-based anti-seize rather than copper slip. If you have copper, aluminum, and steel in the same place, galvanic corrosion can occur which is even worse than regular rust. Otherwise finding these videos most useful.

Hi scrubworks, thanks for your comment, it's great that other builders comment on my efforts.
I'm not a professional so always appreciate helpful hints and tips.
Perhaps you could suggest a product that would be more suitable.
Glad you find my videos useful, although they are for very low budget builders with little knowledge and funds.

@@davidbosworth.3395 I'm by no means a builder, but one of the mechanics I apprenticed under taught me to never use copper slip on a steel bolt in an aluminum assembly. To be fair that's a lot more relevant on a modern engine where the entire block and head are made of aluminium, and you have steel bolts threading directly into them. Copper will probably be fine on a bolt going through an unthreaded hole in an ali water pump into cast iron. The aluminum anti-seize I have at the moment is made by a company called Mako Lube, but any brand will do.
I've just bought a Moggy so I'm working through your videos to prepare to build my own spare engine for it.

@@Scrubworks glad you find my videos interesting, I'm not trained so you will probably find some of my building skills very amateur. But hopefully helpfull.
