    The one sad thing is the strong portrayal that Munzer was living a healthy lifestyle here.... but just watching him running you can tell he looks like he's struggling. It's a good thing that the lie of Bodybuilding being about health has now been exposed.
    RIP Andreas Munzer

    I'm 43 and have followed bodybuilding for 30 years. Andreas was massive both literally and metaphorically when I was following the sport in my early teens. Seeing the pictures of him as a young boy actually made me feel quite sad for his parents. I have my own 2 year old son now and wouldn't be able to deal with losing him the way Andreas went. Bodybuilding is a great sport but has to be moderated by reminding yourself that what really matters is health and wellbeing, not size. All IFBB pro-level bodybuilders, or at least most, are only a couple of years away from screwing themselves up physiologically for a lifetime. It's hard to see how the sport has a way back to Arnold's era where perspective was maintained around the whole enterprise. And the US has always held a special place in it's heart for the freakshow.

    • @og3suso978
      @og3suso978 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      In the end Andreas was addicted to all what he took and this is just to much for everybody.
      He also was cocain addicted. The most dangerous things he did was the amount if oral steroids and fat burner. Fat is the most important thing in your body. Your brain contains 60% fat. If you turn your bodyfat down that long, you are going to die definitely.

      Bodybuilding is about bringing the best. Guys nowadays are not taking the risks which is why they don’t look as good as the guys of the 90s and early 2000s. Separation barely exists now

      @@drroidhammer3218 ummm no. Taking large fucking amounts of steroids and diurectics isn't motivational at all or normal. This dude had 20 different fucking drugs in his system, so what does that tell you?
      Not to mention the crazy diet he had and the fact he never cycled off the drugs he used, he stayed on all year round which is just fucking crazy. But what's more ridiculous is the fact that he could of still won some competitions and been alive if he had cycled off the gear he was taking..
      But too be fair, steroids weren't what really killed him. They played a part in his death but wasn't the main cause that killed him. It was the insane diurectics and diet along with such low body fat percentage. He had little to no body fat on him at all and after months of horrible stomach pain before his last show, the insane diuretics and orals caused him too bleed in his stomach. Had he went to the doctors a few months prior before the Arnold, he might still be alive.
      But no matter how many steroids he was taking, it was the diuretics that really killed him. Hell there are bodybuilders today who take just as much and way more gear then him and didn't die like this guy did... Well that's probably because they didn't fucking stay on on diuretics all year round and take large amounts.
      Hell even high dosages of growth hormones and trenbolone won't kill you like this guy. For some other weird fucking reason he had this weird desire to be shredded all year round.

      @@og3suso978 that's not what he meant. He's not saying it's genetics instead of drugs. He's saying your genetics determine how you respond to it. Some people are more prone to certain side effects. He obviously tolerated very androgenic compounds very well. He was on a ton of DHT derivatives (the ones that cause hardening to the muscle on a cosmetic standpoint) and yet he didn't go completely bald and be covered in acne. It's actually amazing.

    FOR ALL THE HATERS - Lets settle it like this, we all are different, some can take more than others whatever drug or medical thing there is. back in Munzer's days it was about only Oral drugs wich is hard for the kindney and liver. What was a reason why he died. Aswell this man lived hes life just like he wanted it to be and yes he became one of the best in the history. he was unlycky not overusing drugs they all were doing it. Would you live 30 years as a lion or 70 yrs as a lamb?
    Regards

    You wouldn't call this motivational if you saw the condition of his.liver kidneys and his enlarged heart, he also had golf ball sided tumors on his body. Golden outside , crumbly inside. Sad state of affairs. When it takes killing yourself to be competitive. Sad, not ripping.on him he was a fav of mine.
