Thank you Tyler for providing us with such a sad but beautful Video :) kim your courage at sharing this story, I’m so very sorry that you lost your wonderful partner. My condolences to your son and Ryan’s 2 kids, his parents and ex wife. You have all been through such a horrible loss, it is wonderful that you have all had one another there to support one another. He sounded like a beautiful soul and I’m very sorry. We need to talk more about these stories. It’s important to keep these conversations going, it is very beneficial to those who are also struggling, it’s really insightful for me and is a wake up call as I sit here thinking about how much I take my husband for granted. ❤ thank you I need to tell him how much I appreciate him for just being him x ❤
The greatest gift we can give our loved ones is our desires for death. I had to plan my parents funeral’s at age 21 and 25 with no information and your grief is delayed to allow your brain to make required decisions. God bless.
I’ve been following Kim on Instagram and find her to be so resilient, beautiful and inspiring. Thanks for sharing such a personal space with the world. New subscriber gained 🫶🏻
As you talked about the details that we need to share with each other about our end of life desires, I knew how fortunate I was. My husband had worked for a law firm as a paralegal in probate and estates. We had both been married twice before, so we had 6 kids from 4 marriages. We had done a good job with weeks and plans. Our children were all adults, married, etc before my husband passed away when we'd been married 33 years. He was sick and he had put together a document on the computer and given me a copy titled "Things You Need To Know When I Die." He had already bought grave sites. He listed the music he wanted for his funeral. And the one thing he didn't do was give me passwords to a lot of things. Thankfully, for the most important accounts I had them or I could figure them out. I constantly am telling people to make plans.
What a beautiful podcast and a very beautiful perspective on death. Just listening to this hour has changed my view on my grief. ♥️
