Pride and Prejudice শুনে খুবই ভালো লাগলো। ইংলিশ অনার্স ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের কাছে বাংলা অডিও মাধ্যমে এই উপন্যাসটি শোনার সুযোগ এক চূড়ান্ত পাওয়া। এরপর Jane Austen এর Sense and Sensibility গল্পটিও করার অনুরোধ রইলো।
Oh my god, I have a lot to say and let's get started.. first of all I love 'Pride & Prejudice'.. it's one of my favourite Jane Austen novels. I hope one day mirchi classic will present 'Sense & Sensibility' and 'Mansfield Park' though S&S more since that is my favourite after P&P. Secondly, applause to the person who adapted the whole novel into two-hours-forty-minutes Bangla version. It's so nice to see that all the major events were kept and nothing to important was skipped like it happened in 'Jane Eyre'. Though I must confess that I would have loved if Mr. Darcy's 'most ardently' dialogue had been a direct quote.. what wouldn't I give to hear that whole dialogue being said word-to-word... it's one of my most favourite dialogue in the novel. Third, I am kind of sad that the whole scene when Darcy gave Elizabeth the letter next morning after his proposal was cut short. Even the scenes and conversations of Lydia after she visits with her husband were also cut short. It would have been nice to see have them with Lydia trying to make Elizabeth jealous about Wickham and Wickham trying to avoid Elizabeth since he knew that she knew about his real character. Fourth, I love the poster especially Elizabeth.. it was so pretty and accurate portrayal of her with a book in hand. Also applause to the artists who were voices for Mrs. Bennet by Tomali Chaudhuri, Elizabeth by Sulagna Nath and Lydia by Srilekha Nath.. they were like the very real voice of the characters that I imagined in my mind. Though I was a bit disappointed with Mr. Darcy's.. Abhirup Banerjee did a very good job but I imagine Darcy to have a much stronger and stern voice, like Debanjan Mitra who did the voice acting of Mr. Rochester in 'Jane Eyre'.. if Debanjan Mitra or someone with a voice similar to his would've been my ideal voice of Mr. Darcy.. no offence to anyone here. Overall well done Team Mirchi Classic for the adaptation and presentation.. it was amazing. Loved this and I hope there will be more Brontë sisters and Austen in future.

I was in class VIII when I read this novel for the very first time.. Actually we got this included in our syllabus... Once every week most probably friday, we used to have a special class on this subject and that too was taken by our Head ma'am... I was too little to understand this, still enjoyed a lot...
