thank you for your reaction of this video miss pretty soul as always, singing in Philippines is a normal thing we did it everyday in karaoke machine and to master the notes of a song.
There is a TH-cam streamer who simply walks down the streets in the Philippines asking random people to sing. Very few decline and most are beyond exceptional!!!!
I’m from the US, and was in Manila in 2002 doing some training for a group of new recruits we had just hired. One morning the class of 25 was working on a self-paced written exercise, and out of nowhere one of the ladies starts singing softly (I can’t remember the song, but it was something top 40). As an American I really didn’t know how to react, so just kind of stood there and watched her for a few seconds. Then someone joined her, and then another, and in the span of 30-40 seconds the entire group was singing - beautifully. It was a bit surreal - all with their heads down, working on a written exercise, and singing. I’d love to visit the country again. Very lovely people. ❤❤
I'm a retired U.S. military dude, living full time in the Philippines. Been going back and forth for over 30 yrs. These karaoke "sessions" are weekly, and not in the least uncommon here. As a matter of fact, right at this moment, there is a b-day party going on about 3 houses down from ours. Of course with karaoke! Not every Filipino singer has a great voice, but a damn high percentage can sing well! Great voice or not, it is ALWAYS encouraged that you sing. And you will be applauded for at least trying.
a Filipino invented the karaoke,,it was called sing along....it was also available in a small box which is plugged into a car cigarette lighter for the driver and passenger to enjoy singing in the long trip. the inventor also invented a one-man-band -piano
@@mantis365 because there were many contract worker musicians that were hired in Japan. The idea of karaoke probably had been floated amongst bands who can’t be together all the time to practice.
My sister was a flight attendant for 20 years and most of her flights were thru Alaska, Japan, then to the Philippines where they’d layover for several days. She met lots of Filipinos and went to many Karaoke bars. They explained that Filipinos love to sing at just about ANY party or gathering. With so many of them singing often, the really good singers are discovered.
I was in The Philippines in December 2022. A grandmother invited me to sing with her granddaughters and their friends. The teens out-sung 21+ year old me! L🤣L Citizens start singing while they are young and continue until they reach their tombs! 🤯
Oh Schnell, I see your smile in your face watching Filipinos singing, definitely almost Filipinos can sing that's why its very hard to judge them during competition... If you watch and react to the Filipino kids nailing English songs in the Voice.....they are amazing
That's a normal here in Philippines darling even me and my family bonding with my friends relatives every weekend. Love you..! From Cebu City Philippines 👍🌹❤️🇵🇭
Loved your reaction!!! These are talented singers and since you asked about what’s in the water in the Philippines, perhaps you could react to “Filipino kids nailing English songs” to see how Filipino kids attempt these adult songs! You won’t believe your ears!!!
Hi Beautiful Lady, Tnx for appreciating these amazing Drinking and Karaoke (we call it Videoke) Session. Actually Singing/Music is already part of Pilipino Culture since time immemorial. In every gathering Singing is a must otherwise it would be boring just staring with each other. The first one to Sing, Limuel (with the black hat) is actually the Lead Singer of the Ice Bucket Band that's why you already noticed his voice quality. BTW, just for some info, if you don't mind. KARAOKE or VIDEOKE as we call it, was first Patented by a Pilipino named Roberto Del Rosario in 1975. And almost in every home has this wonderful machine and every nook and cranny of the Philippines you'll hear people singing their hearts out, be it good or out-of-tune, just like this video. And about 98% of our Artists/Singers don't have a Professional Vocal Training. They just rely on their God Given Raw Talents and keep on practicing since about 5 yo and entering in so many Singing Competitions 'til they reach Celebrity Status. And mind you, Autotune is a Taboo in the Philippines because its kinda Cheating, otherwise it would be the end of one's career. And even Lipsyncing is even avoided (except on MV produced), they always do it LIVE. Tnx again and Godspeed.
From every region, province, city or town you can be certain you can discover raw talent everywhere there are many excellent seranaders and balladers its part of the culture already majority of its citizens are vocal experts this is the trademark of the worlds singing capital🇵🇭😍
As a Filipino, when theres a celebration here in The Philippines normally videoke machine is always present. And i sing a lot and its like youre in a singing competition in a party haha
It's all because of the Karaoke, everybody sings. Birthday, wedding, Christmas, or even gathering of friends we do karaoke, and there's a lot of karaoke here in the Philippines. Some were gifted, some were developed as time goes by some were just having fun and that's all......
im filipino and out of 7 of my filipino friends (barkadas) they all can sing, i can't sing but i can dance hahah I am the dancer of the singing friends!
Such a fun video. Burt Bacharach, who just recently passed away wrote this beautiful song for the purpose of benefiting AIDS research and the song continues to raise money. Dionne Warwick, Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder sang the original version.
All of us Filipino like to sing... When we get bored we sing, if there is party or any event we sing even when we are in broken relationship we sing...
When we speak of "drinking session" in the Philippines, it refers to a group of people together drinking alcohol, usually where a glass of alcohol is being passed on to each and everyone, one after the other. Part of this gathering is a karaoke-singing just as soon as everyone has become tipsy and rambunctious ... every aspect of this session is for fun. This is how it is in the Philippines: you can say, a culture among men who drink in group.
Girl we can sing anywhere. We sing while doing laundry, in the shower, in the toilet,in the river, in the ocean, while washing dishes. While doing household chores.
every party (birthday, death anniversary, baby shower, just chillin, you name it) or whenever there is gathering, there will always be a Karaoke, that's the reason why Filipinos are good at singing.
That's definitely what happens to all the dads and uncles after a drinking session after the family parties. We all don't sing well, but everybody definitely enjoys themselves regardless.🤣
Try living in our country where you are obliged to sing our National Anthem that's way above cords on a marching beat / rhythm... from Kindergartner all the way through your entire life during every Flag Ceremony 🤔. And then let see if your Vocal chord's won't learn a thing or two about singing... ✌️😅 Viva Philippines 🇵🇭 ... "Lupang Hinirang" the best soulful song ever made❤️❤️❤️
Ever since filipino love singing, before we have songhits then we play guitars to sing, then Tape's,Vhs,cd,laser disc, dvd and more and this are the gadget that we use to sing.😊
That's song is in the 70s, sang by Elton John, Warwick, and two other artists, and WOW that Lamuel Llanes and friends beautifully delivered the song so well and that's the ORIGINAL KEY WOW WOW WOW...
We appreciate and grateful for those beautiful songs and music. Those songs has been part of our everyday lives. Thank you for explicitly sharing your channel, for your shared joy and happiness and for being part of how we can express thru singing those wonderful songs and music. Please stay with us for always. Salamat po.
TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION... WELL, MAJORITY OF US FILIPINOS CAN SING , ITS BECAUSE ITS OUR THING HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES, WE LOVE TO SING IN EVERY OCCASION/CELEBRATION...WE STARTED SINGING AT AN EARLY AGE SO WE KINDA HAVE A LOT OF PRACTICE THAT MAKES US SING WELL.
Most Filipinos discover their singing talents by singing in Karaoke..... I can say, Filipinos of the Philippines are the Finest singers in Far East ....
Love your RV 🥰🥰 Llanes is pronounced like Li-Yah-Nes all short vowels. I guess because most homes have karaoke machines, and anytime people can sing whenever..or some freely sings at karaoke machine displays at the malls, and we have many singing competitions. Plus, many singing done in church, at our school daily anthems. You should try to see some Filipino parlor games where they pass the mic to the next one to sing the next line of the song, all for pure fun and joy of singing. 💞
Ren is breaking the internet with his track "Hi Ren", having reacted to his street performance with then-partner Sam Tompkins a year ago, I was hoping you'd be among the first to react, especially considering he's now living in Canada! I was expecting a reaction from you because you are one of the few who KNOW what he is capable of, while the rest walk with their jaws hanging loose, you could say: I KNEW I WAS A GENIUS... Anyway, I hope someone else gives you an alarm whistle and reactions to that song. Some have compared it to the "Bohemian Rhapsody" of this generation, I think it goes much further: the cinematography, the interpretation that is a masterful performance, the poetry, the theme it addresses, everything is ART in its purest form; It lasts 9:20 minutes and every second is worth it.
Just to let you know, girl, I'm a new subscriber here of yours...thanks for admiring and appreciating my own people's God-given talent...I want to let you know, too that you're one of those most gorgeous vlogger I've ever seen here in YT...you're so pretty like a Barbie doll...😊😘

Random karaoke singing during party ...a lot of Filipinos can sing naturally when at ease and with a bottle of booze 😊...Filipinos just love to de-stress ourselves thru singing 😊😊😊

It is the reason why you get bashing if you are a professional recording artists if you are not that perfect, they will tell you that you are just a casual karaoke singer, that is not Filipino standard. You have to have a voice that stands out! Because even casual can sing that good! 🤗😂✌️
