I Become Supreme Lord of the Bathroom:
Percy finds his place at Camp Half Blood, where he learns just how special his origins may be.
Demigod Percy Jackson leads a quest across America to prevent a war among the Olympian gods.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is an American fantasy television series created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg for Disney+, based on the book series of the same name by Riordan.[1] Walker Scobell stars as Percy Jackson, alongside Leah Sava Jeffries and Aryan Simhadri.
Development on the series began by May 2020, following a pitch by Riordan to Disney Branded Television. Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Shotz were announced as showrunners in July 2021, with James Bobin hired to direct the first episode in October. Scobell was cast in the lead role in January 2022, with Jeffries and Simhadri joining the cast in May. By September, Anders Engström and Jet Wilkinson were also set to direct multiple episodes of the series. Filming began in June 2022 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and concluded in February 2023, with additional cast members revealed throughout 2022 and 2023.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians premiered on December 19, 2023, on Disney+, with the first season consisting of eight episodes. The series received positive reviews from critics, who largely praised its faithfulness to the source material, the worldbuilding and the performances of the cast, with many deeming it better than the 2010-2013 film series.
Walker Scobell as Perseus "Percy" Jackson, a young demigod and son of Poseidon[3]
Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, a daughter of Athena who has been training at Camp Half-Blood for five years[4]
Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, Percy's best friend and a satyr disguised through magic as a 12-year-old boy[4]

Percy was very close to the water when he started winning .
Leah and Walker play off each other really well, their scene in the bathroom cracked me up 😂 IIRC book Percy didn't quite know what to make of Annabeth at first so the awkward dynamic between them works. I'm hoping we see more of the "human encylopedia of random Greek mythology facts" side of her later but I'm liking that they're showing how observant and strategic she is. Plus, I also love that this Annabeth feels like someone who definitely might have hubris as a fatal flaw. Kudos to the show for already setting up things for season 2. I think one of the most disappointing parts of the movies was the fact that Annabeth was kind of just there to be the token girl character instead of being the brainy one of the trio
Also the actress playing Clarisse is doing a great job. She isn't as brutish as the book version but I honestly love how calculating she feels in the show
DIOR LOST HER VOICE FOR A GOOD WHILE AFTER THAT SCREAM 💀
You're currently one of my fav reactors to this! Mr. D pretending to be Percy's dad is so funny and mean, literally shaking my head watching it
Also percy being the distraction during capture the flag XD
Even I loved it and I haven't read the book nor watch the movie; you can tell they really cared with this show; every thing is well done; the characters are nuanced and real ..... it's great.
they didnt want to tell percy about his mom is because they wanted him getting the bolt to be a priority. cuz he might go to the underworld and simply save his mom without taking the bolt and then there'll be war and many people will die. when grover tells percy you can see that him getting his mom back is his only motivation for going which is what chiron and dionysus are trying to avoid.
I did appreciate seeing Giles as Mr. Chiron Bruner in the second film. And Captain Mal as Hermes. I suppose it would have been nice for at least someone from the film's cast to reprise their role in this series, but only for nostalgia and a wink. (And because I like Anthony Head and Nathan Fillion, and a throway _Firefly_ reference.) But the casting here is pretty spot on, and a lot of the book moments that would make you cringe if you saw it in real life have been softened enough to make them believable, like Clarissa's bullying and Dionysus's apathy.
I promise you Mr.D is the peak of the show the actor nailed his character perfectly bro is hilarious
When I learned that Annabeth's actor was from Detroit, I knew she'd be great. I mean, a Detroit girl wearing a Yankees cap of her own free will? 🙂
they are still doing the prophecy thing actually. i saw a scene in the preview where percy goes to talk with the oracle of delphi. and they are still going to do the sword training with luke as well. i think rick is switching around certain events so we might see some things missing in future episodes. great reaction btw
I believe they're still doing the prophecy, in the book, Chiron already knew where Percy should go and only tells Percy where he's going after they have the quest's prophecy, the difference in the show is that he tells Percy before the prophecy is made^^
Ohh okay i see. Thank god! I love the prophecy stuff so i can’t wait to see it play it out in the show
That's what I'm thinking too because didn't they show the Oracle of Delphi in the trailer?
@@Callarson yeah, I believe they showed it in a featurette or something^^
I hate that Disney makes me wait a whole week for the next episode. Thats a hate crime or smth.
ik it makes me MAAAAD
@@nevaehrose3235but it does keep me going crazy and obsessed until each episode comes out
@@quinecewhitfield YES I AGREE SO MUCH EXCITMENT
RIGHT?!
Favorite pj reactorrr 🤞🏽
Mr D was my favourite in the book and so far I’m not disappointed
You go to the oracle after you get the quest
you're already my favorite PJO reactor! great reaction :D
I just realized is the person talking to Percy in his dreams Kronos?
That's the theory most book readers have.
@@AnxietyRat Are there any other theories? I've read the books myself and that's the only thing I could think of.
@@Callarson Some people think it's Hades talking to him... other people think it's Kronos... Those are kind of the two the main theories I've seen floating around. I'm technically sort of in the same group of people going in blind because I read the first three books like over a decade ago now when I was Percys age...so I really don't remember what happened in them lol. I certainly don't remember someone talking to him through his dreams. 🤷♀️ So yeah, I think it could be either of them as I haven't looked into the casting in this show I don't know who is playing Hades and if Kronos has been casted or not.
Leah & Walker play off each other amazingly
& Walker's chemistry with the entire cast especially Virgina & Aryan is insanely good
im in love with Dior & Charles as their respective characters 😭🫶
the Prophecy shit is gonna be next epiosde im sure + Luke's friend is confirmed to be Chris
3:02 U MY FAVORITE PJO REACTOR ALREADY
Luke's friend/brother is actually Chris Rodriguez! He's relevant for s2 especially so I'm glad that they're showing him already
@@heyitsmira17 YEAH I MEANT CHRIS
I JUS MIXED THEIR NAMES
TSITP Fans had they're turn getting a new episode every week now its our turn.
They’ll do a prophecy next episode, since they still have to pick the next member etc
OH. So that's what happened to Janet's boyfriend! Huh.
Are you guys high? Every book fan I've talked to has hated this series! The acting is atrocious, the changes from the book are nonsensical, the dialogue is 99% exposition and 0 character development (what happened to "show dont tell"?). We lose the scene of percy being truly bewildered by dodds which is an iconic moment in the books for this weird dream sequence? Why is gabe such a pushover? In the books it's heavily implied he's straight up abusive and it's a big story arc for sally's character to finally stand up to him. Why is athena cabin 5 time winner now? It was supposed to be ares cabin and that's why annabeth using percy as bait was battle strategy and intelligence in the books (another example of "show don't tell" rather than exposition luke saying shes the strongest warrior). Also how did percy beat clarisse without touching the water????? That's a huge character moment. As is being claimed by poseidon, but here they just have some microsoft emoticon lazily pasted above percy's head. And sure, if the annabeth's actress truly encapsulated the character, then it doesn't matter that she isn't blonde with stormy gray eyes. But this actress is god awful! And no chemistry between any of the main cast. The pacing is terrible. Too many missed major character beats and straight up changed characters. Honestly, this show makes me yearn for the movies, which is saying something. I feel like y'all have got to be high or something because every person I know who reads the books HATES this show but everyone seems to be raving about such a poor portrayal of something that means a lot to a lot of people.
