Warframe | It is Currently Impossible to Aim the Fishing Spear [PATCHED]

Any and all Fishing Spears can currently not be aimed. Given how this comes right after a hotfix that made all Fish in Fortuna completely not be catchable, it most likely has something to do with that fix.
July 20th, 2024: Code fix was implemented to fix both this bug, and the one that caused a loss of functionality while fishing in general.

Apparently, this isn't a bug, but rather a fix to another issue that was causing Softlocks in Fishing portions of Quests. It requires Code to actually fix, but this is certainly a rather bad way to patch the situation for the time being, so I'll keep the video the way it is until a proper fix gets implemented.

It is currently impossible for the bug to be fixed, as it requires a Code Fix (and a new Cert Build) from Digital Extremes to be fully fixed. Patches and Code fixes were paused until after Tennocon (which happens July 19th-20th,) so the fix is still a decent ways out. If you need to do fishing for a Riven Challenge, you can still throw the spear without aiming it, but it will be much harder to hit anything reliably.
