Such an absolute icon. Rip miss Betty. We miss you so much already
I really like the “stick around, we’ll be right back!” It’s so genuine and it totally takes the viewer back to simpler times in TV. If there was a single literal time that the host could not end with “Live from New York…” I think this was it. Her career was truly trailblazing and her heart shines through each and every minute I see her on the big (and little) screen. Watching Golden Girls for the first time this year is truly a delight. Rest in Power, Betty White! You are so SO loved!
The "Live from New York" line ends the cold open sketch before the host comes out.
She is a gem, a miracle, a goddess, a fabulous comedian. Please be here more many many more years
My Mom graduated from Beverly Hills High School w/ Betty White in 1939 - the same year that “Gone With The Wind” premiered. It was the first year that graduation was held at the Hollywood Bowl. Esther Williams & Deanna Durbin also graduated from high school in 1939. RIP dear Betty White🙏
7 years later, we still need to protect this angel at all costs
R.I.P. to an absolute treasure, and thank you Betty White, for being a friend.
