I have a problem that all my conversions end in the direct/none categorie since our payment gateway is the refferal link and I did exclude the gateway in the refferal exclusion list. Is there a way to fix this issue?
I keep seeing URL parameters in my ads, I tried removing them where it says build URL parameter but they still keep appearing. Is there a way to turn off URL parameters in my ads manager settings?
That’s not a bad thing (UTMs are really useful). But you can remove them from your the URL of your ad or at the button where it says tracking settings and re-publish the ad.
Okay, how do I handle this when I run campaigns from Facebook, and for example, the placements are both Facebook and Instagram at the same time? It's launching ads on these two platforms simultaneously. Since I don't have the campaigns separated and both are running on these two platforms at the same time, how can I make the dynamic? Is there a way to do this in this situation?
Hi, thanks for that video. I'm trying to get started with Google Analytics. For a new website (no previous data), would you recommend I start with GA4 or should I start with UA?
Great Video, two questions, 1.why not use fb ad manager to analyze the data 2.does GA4 need to connect with fb by any configuration to track those utm set by fb ad manager? Thank you.
1 thing, you didn't show how to import the data from the utms to google analytics....
Awesome! Definitively show how you analyze your campaigns in GA with FB campaigns :) That would be super useful for everyone! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the feedback! Since UA is dying we will be making one about GA4.
@@VertexMarketingAgency very interested
Amazing
I use a tool called scalify this create automatically all the URL and sync with google analytics
This it's so helpful to understand this
Would love a 2023 update on. tracking effectively🎉
Very good video, thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Great Explanation!! But from now onwards please shift to GA4, as UA will depreciate soon.
Yes, that will be our next video :)
Very useful information. Thank you!
Awesome video
Hi, thanks a lot for the great video. Can we also track mobile app promotion campaigns for Meta with this UTM technique?
Good info, you were able to clear up the confusion I was having on working with the URL Parameters. Thanks for the Share.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, Question, I use Lead generation ads with facebook forms, can I use this same process to track those ads?
Why there's no Campaigns tab under Acquisition in my Google Analytics?
Are you looking at Universal Analytics of GA4?

Personally, I don’t add the placement to my UTM data but you could. You just need to use a dynamic placement variable.

GA-4
If you asked me that question a few months ago I would’ve said UA but last week Google announced that UA is going away so GA4 😊
there are 2 sections on ad editing panel, "destination" and "tracking", both have a place to enter url parameters, what is the difference of them?
They both do the same thing. Just pick one and stay consitent :)
@@VertexMarketingAgency thank you for the answer

Because the attribution model that Facebook uses isn't the best. GA4 works the same way UA does... All you need is UTM's.
The UTM tool doesn't work anymore, the download link
You can't make a copy of the Google Sheet?
@@VertexMarketingAgency When I click the link in your discription, it just says not found
Am i the only one who didnt see how the informations gets set up to be sent to google analytics or am i missing something?
Don't you have to set up google analytics first??
Yes, you do
