Four layer PCB design used for shielding on outer ground layers to minimize noise going out from PCB.
This VFO is primarily aimed towards PLL CB radios with either 10.695 MHz or 7.8 MHz IF stages (PLL: uPD2824, MC145106, MB8719, MB8734, uPD858, ) which provide 10,11,12m Amateur transceiver like control (10, 100 Hz steps, 1, 10, 100 kHz steps and 1 MHz steps) + 10 memories.
Control of frequency increments from 1 MHz steps down to as small as 10 Hz resolution steps.
