As a shadowcast main that wep was extremy unecessary to be a shadow legendary, its saddens me how the devs are starting to not listen to their community, look at thunder, literally nobody is using it rn, dropping a new thunder legendary would be a nice idea instead of releasing untested random bullshit that ruins chime and overworld

i feel like in the next 5 years of deep, there's gonna be 100 new untested legendary weapons, 10 new attunements, 3 new layers, 4 pvp changes, 2 pve changes 20 new bells 10 legendary bells, 5 new luminants and 20 more bosses
im not too sure if this weapon is good for the game but what it adds to shadows identity is extremely interesting to me this look into shadowcast and what it is canonically is in the world of deepwoken is just so intriguing to me and honestly i think it might be in part due to the style changes that deepwoken has been doing to attack animations the weapons crits are done in the new style and im starting to think the new style is good for deepwoken just because of this weapon
the pyre keeper crits are reactable, parryable, and blockable, even punishable cause of some of the autoparry frames, literally none of them guardbreak, the only half decent one is the running crit but you can literally just block it. Pyre keeper isn't really comp I mean it's still good but only against really boosted players

@@glacierithink oh yeah mb. The attack sprite of durandal always made me think it was a hammer to the point where I ignored everything else and just called it a hammer. I still think the way this weapon is used doesn't match durandal very well as it was mostly used for slicing and this thing is stabbing. Allas may be too big but this feels closest to Allas in it's use so it could kinda be either I think.
content in deep is getting really stale since the recent updates are bad, so I think he's psuedo quit, and only comes back for a quick showcase or if something is noteworthy now and then.
Yeah sorta, they have roughly the same parry timings though so it doesn’t rly matter, imo it should do like 80% posture damage only just so that you can’t abuse it after another block break
atleast the way u obtain this weapon isnt from a 0.1% drop chance from a boss that has like 50 mil hp that takes 20 people to kill and respawns every sunday

@@zomsum swords in gpo aren’t like deepwoken weapons, in deepwoken you can only use 1 weapon in combat that usually requires you to dedicate your build to using while in gpo the swords can be slapped on anything with like a few hundred points. Also with legendary weapons them having multiple crits shouldn’t be that much of a problem, I understand complaining about the features on the crits but after the community complains about them half of the features on crits are removed or tweaked. But seriously what’s up with the multiple crits argument , just cause it has more crits doesn’t mean it’s better in actual practice(or else curved blade of winds woulda been meta right before prye was dropped). If a weapon requires almost half of your stats to even use then it having a few extra crits shouldn’t really be a complaint
