I love the differences in each exe song: The OG is over the top and heavy metal, like it’s trying to be way too serious like the original creepypasta. Code Red with Fatal Error is still heavy metal but it has its own style and beat which makes it unique. This song is not very over the top and is much more swingy, like it’s made to get in your head, an upbeat theme but with dark idea behind it. Deceiving and malevolent. This song was fantastic, love seeing my favourite exe get his own song.
Lord X is like the opposite of the original Sonic.exe, personality wise. The OG was super serious, super tryhard and acted like he was super scary and super cool. An edgelord if I ever seen one. Meanwhile lord X comes across as a goofy parody of that, with wacky expressions, ridiculous music and poses accosiated with him and in general clearly having a blast while still being a genuine menace.
He's like that because, as explained by Joe, with time he came to realize that people no longer feared him. Sonic with bloody eyes? That's right out of parody, kids don't fear that anymore. So he's taken a focus on the entertainment part, and his "scaryness" comes more from the brutal, disfiguring victims violently to show what he is truly capable of. He basically relies on the predictability of his premise in order to catch victims off guard.
Once again, each song you make for these hellspawns is exceedingly well-researched. Lord X's song is a lot more mellow in part, i assume at least, because he isn't really out to intimidate anyone because he already knows he IS intimidating. He's self-assured. He's at the top of his game even in his age. He is a master of his domain and master of torment... but he does it all for entertainment. Not just his. But yours. He's essentially operating an interdimensional red room, after all; The only reason you can find him is if you looked for him. And to look for him, you must know exactly what you're getting into.
I never understood what makes Lord X "special" or why people consider him to be on a different level from the otherwise unremarkable sea of EXEs... I think I understand now, after reading this and some of the other comments on this video explaining his character.

Ive always loved New Jack Swing since i was a kid, and i thought this during the streams but it just. Suits Lord X so well. Its all a game to him, he knows hes scary but whats even more scary? Unexpectedly breaking out into a sick groove instead of just killing his victim right away. He's mocking you and having a blast doing it. The part with the guardian statues (which all look great btw) is the only part that feel seriously threatening, cuttin the crap. When I listened to this I expected something as menacing as Play With Me or Code Red, but the fact that it's so chill was an amazing surprise. And it's fitting too! Think about it this way: Lord X is one of, if not the strongest EXE in the fandom, or at least one of the most well-known hyper-powerful EXEs. If someone as strong as him can't relax and enjoy himself while torturing someone then who can?
Amazing Track in of itself (The Every Little Step homage shines even louder than it does in Spring Yard Zone) and the gloriously goofy MV is the icing on the cake. Props for getting the low-framerate compressed flat sprites in the BG JUST the way they'd look in Parappa (Or, since we're talking Saturn here, Jung Rhythm I guess???) I'm listening for sure.

Honestly reminds me of when Homestuck did the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff comics. Technology gets to the point where you *really* have to go out of your way to animate something "poorly". Or at least like this, in a way that mimics the jank of older tech. And we know that LSE can animate well when he puts his mind to it in his other videos, so this is absolutely intentional, if a bit jarring when I first saw it. I LOVE how you leaned into the "sonic soundtrack" sound! HEAVY LEANING. I like this alot because it's a good change up of what you'd usually do. The last ones were metal/electronic and now Lord X is like a villain song crossed with RnB or like something from Earth, Wind and Fire type stuff.(actually, Michael Jackson is a better example)You even sung like one of those classics! Having a lot of wavey movement of the vocals with "you're enjoying it like IIIIIII doooooo?" At the end of that line, absolutely amazing. It's FUNKY thats how I'd describe it. This animation is perfect for shitposts, genuinely fun to watch Edit: People who don’t get the fact it is intentionally a goofy and janky animation, mimicking those of games like parappa or even just dance, have some awful sense of media literacy, lord X has always been a bit of a goofy exe, even in other interpretations like Cycles in Vs Exe, his sprites were comedic. I’m not saying he can’t be serious, but expecting a masterclass amv for a song that released just last night is expecting a lot. It also wouldn’t fit the more relaxed and chill vibes of the song’s instrumental itself, yes the lyrics are dark, but the overall vibe is a bit playful or joyous, so another factor as to why it works for the song.
hello 8 months later, just wanted to say you're completely right. it is REALLY in character for lord X. He was never one of the "I'M SUPER SCARY UWU" exe's. he is just a little goober that likes to have fun, and what's better about singing, dancing, and playing the saxophone while you talk about your favorite pass time, which to him is torturing souls.
Forget the song itself, Lso made it, of course its gonna slap harder then metal sonic hitting the door in stardust speedway. BUT THE ANIMATION IS GLORIOUS.
I love how the song list at the start shows both Dean's own Sonic EXE songs (Play With Me, Code Red, and Are You Listening?) and songs from the FNF mod (Chaos, Too Slow, You Can't Run), as well as other EXE related media (Confronting Yourself). Honestly reminds me of when Homestuck did the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff comics. Technology gets to the point where you *really* have to go out of your way to animate something "poorly". Or at least like this, in a way that mimics the jank of older tech. And we know that LSE can animate well when he puts his mind to it in his other videos, so this is absolutely intentional, if a bit jarring when I first saw it.

I like this alot because it's a good change up of what you'd usually do. The last ones were metal/electronic and now Lord X is like a villain song crossed with RnB or like something from Earth, Wind and Fire type stuff.(actually, Michael Jackson is a better example)You even sung like one of those classics! Having a lot of wavey movement of the vocals with "you're enjoying it like IIIIIII doooooo?" At the end of that line, absolutely amazing. It's FUNKY thats how I'd describe it.

I don’t know what took me so long to realize, but the lyrics of this song implies that Lord X isn’t talking to the in game characters. Lord X is talking directly to YOU, the player. A lot like in the original game where he refers to it as a game he’s playing with the player. Really love that detail!

I’m not saying he can’t be serious, but expecting a masterclass amv for a song that released just last night is expecting a lot. Is the music goofy? Absolutely, but that makes it more unsettling to me. The way the lyrics and message of the song simply don’t match up with the song itself feels wrong. like a weird, manipulative way to get you to smile and enjoy the torture you a witnessing, or a way of “gaslighting” you into think that what your hearing isn’t bad, but a good thing that you should be happy about, which is very on brand for Lord X. Very well done!
