    Results just came in today that the lady found in the refrigerator has been identified after 33 years. Her name is Espy Regina Black-Pilgrim. I have watched for months as her daughter and sister-in-law have advocated on her behalf and awaited theses results. Absolutely heartbreaking. I am so glad the she has been identified.

      Wait which lady? The one found in Jellico Tn? I live in Campbell County and have family in Roane County Tn. I was young when these women were found. But I remember my family talking about them. I was always so afraid I'd be killed because of my red hair (I was like 5 when first Lady was found outside jellico on i-75). Ive kept up with these women my whole life. I was so happy the first lady was identified last year. If the other girl from jellico was identified I havent heard of it. Makes me happy any Jane doe or John doe is identified.

    Why is it that when finding a dead body most times they say “ at first I thought it was a mannequin “ how many mannequins have you seen just lying around?

    • @dawnieangel76
      @dawnieangel76 6 ปีที่แล้ว +229

      JustSayin I don't think the human mind ever WANTS to register seeing a dead body, so a mannequin is the closest substitution for coping.

      We came upon a car on patrol in Iraq one time that fell victim to tribal warfare. There were bullet holes riddled throughout the vehicle, blood everywhere (all over the seats, arm rests, floors, pooled in the cup holders), there was even teeth and chunks of hair and skull in the center console coin tray. I know this was real, but at the time and still to this day it felt fake, like this just COULDNT happen. It was like it was just too much to take in or something. I dunno, my two cents.

    • @misssmisssymaria
      @misssmisssymaria 6 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      Teena Courtney You’re so edgy. 😒 As someone has already stated, that’s a coping mechanism, the mind trying to process the shock of seeing a dead human. Also, most people expect a dead body to look like a human being but they look completely different, almost like something made of plastic or wax. Those people are not stupid or morons for thinking that a dead body looked like a mannequin, because thats what they look like, they look fake.

    The Lewis and Clark Valley killer is named Lance Voss, and he now lives in North Carolina. The authorities are 99.9% sure he's the guy, but they don't have enough evidence to charge him. After he moved to NC, there were some murders that may have been committed there by him; one composite drawing looked an awful lot like him.

    One man who was not cleared as a suspect (in my opinion) in the redhead murders was my mother's Ex husband. After she threatened to dye her hair strawberry blonde and hitchhike down the southeast states to stay with family, that psycho tried to kill her, chased her, and used his job as a trucker to do it. That was the early 80s. My mom was terrified he would find her.

Long before the Netflix series came out, people told me that Humboldt county had the lowest murder rate in the state, but Humboldt was also the county with the most "missing" persons. I knew a few people that had relatives in HBC's industry, the workers from out of town were often killed after finishing their work (keep location secret), or could be used as slaves for a season or two.

    Ok wait...Patrice Corley was finally identified...And she was 29 years old when she died. The family hadn't seen her in 27 years. So she went missing when she was 2? But there was a picture of her when she was clearly a young girl or teenager...No one ever reported her missing? Something's not adding up here.
    *Edited* Here's what I found (she wasn't missing for 27 years):
    Details: The partially-disrobed female was found beaten to death at the side of Interstate 70. Jewelry had apparently been stolen from her body. Examination indicated she had possibly been a prostitute. She was identified in August 2017.
    Suspects: The prime suspect in the woman's murder is an unidentified serial killer known as the Ohio Prostitute Killer. He was possibly a trucker who went by "Dr. No" over a CB radio. He may have preyed on prostitutes in Ohio, between the years of 1981 and 1990. Results: Unresolved. A new reconstruction of the victim was later created in hopes of determining her identity. In August of 2017, the victim was identified as twenty-nine-year-old veteran Patrice Corley, thanks to DNA testing. Patrice had vanished in December of 1989 from Louisville, Kentucky, and left behind a young son. Her sister-in-law attempted to report her missing, but was told that she was not allowed to do so because she was not a blood relative. Her sister-in-law tried again in October of 2016; this time, the report was accepted and Patrice was identified as a result. However, her killer has never been identified; investigators have re-opened the murder case.

      That there are SO Many unidentified corpses in America tells you that "Family Values" is nothing more than a political slogan. The FBI has a nationwide database containing 1000's of unidentified corpses and the simple reason is that there are SO Many families who forget avout a family member as soon as they walk away. So if a corpse is found with no ID and the family never files a missing person report, it will never be identified. And don't forget that FBI records have been computerized since the 1990's so a connection would've been made if there was one. Furthermore, we're only made aware of this through murder cases. Think about how many Americans there must be then who are completely disconnected fro family who never get murdered. We NEVER hear about them. This is what "freedom" in America has turned out to be, a place where "family" and "family values" mean almost nothing on a National scale.

    I posted about the Redhead Murders a year ago. Thank you so much for talking about it, he also goes by the Bible Belt Strangler. A high school tried to find him out, they listed him as 6ft at least, around 200-250 pounds, black hair (as seen with Epsy Pilgrim, or Knox County Jane Doe), was a commercial truck driver, came from an abusive home, and had a hatred for prostitutes. Alot of people believe he is somewhere in Knoxville, TN. I talked to Epsy's daughter about how excited I was when she was identified in 2017, and I also believe the Cheatham County JD and the one found in an abandoned mine were Wendy Stevenson and Peggy Rahn. I hope someone finds him and brings these women justice. Also, you have researched and found alot more about this than I have, I didn't know he had more victims (last I checked he had at least 8) and Jimmy Hendricks and his girlfriend, I didn't know they were suspected of being his victims too, hopefully with new technology we can put him behind bars. Greetings from Campbell County, TN. I love your channel by the way, been a big fan since Freshman Year of high school and used to listen to your videos while in class ❤💙

      @TheDmaize 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I totally agree. The "only" thing in common was the red hair. Everything else that was listed as connecting evidence is pretty weak, in my opinion. First, strangulation is not a very uncommon and unique way to murder, that´s definitely not connecting murders that happened hundreads of miles away from each other over the time span of decades. Then the argument that the place of killing and where the bodies were found, were different. That´s true for A LOT of murder cases. And the third thing mentioned was that most of the victims were hitchhikers or picked up near highways. That´s the same for what feels like almost every victim of a 70s or 80s serial killer. But I do agree that the killer (if there is one killer for atleast some of the 15 victims) might be someone who travels a lot for whatever reason.

      They can still be related. Method of death could depend on their mood and or the figjt in the victim. Second thing is the red hair complex could be venting anger at a person they know.. Reliving killing same person. And as for the sexual assualts.. Maybe just some he took wasnt sexually appealing to him.. Just saying

      Also how many times do you just see mannequins laying around

      My daughter's 2 friends came across a mannequin hanging from the basketball hoop in the school grounds early one new years day. It wasn't till they went to cut it down they realised it was a classmate suicided. The skin was greyish white with the appearance of plastic and the body was stiff. Of course it's an easy mistake to make.

    I looked into the heads in the plastic bags, and the one found in Louisiana has been identified as Sally Ann Hines from San Antonio. She was 58 and went missing from her home on Dec 14, 2017, and found March 1, 2018 in the marshlands in Louisiana. So sad and disturbing. I have so many questions.

    Sometimes I wake up way way way too early and I watch these videos, and hide under the covers w my dog. Why do I do this!?
    P.s. something in the background music sounds like the elevator in my building, and it could totally be a murder approaching my door. Geez!

    The fact that my grandfather was a captain of the Lewiston police department at the time of the Lewis-Clark murders is wild to me. He said that he extra motivation to catch the person doing it since my mother was just getting into high school around the time the killings were taking place. He was very concerned about her safety. Hate that the person was never caught...

    Jerry Johns' DNA was matched to the murder scene of Tina Farmer, one of the recently identified Jane Does. He died in prison serving time for the attempted murder of another redhead woman. He was a truck driver from TN. The murders before his incarceration in 1985 are being looked at as his work

    Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
    Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
    Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
    Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
    Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
    Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky. "
    Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
    Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"

    So many people stumbling upon dead bodies say they thought it was a mannequin. Is it ever a mannequin? I am sure we wish it was. Would be so fascinating for a crazy mannequin butcher to be on the loose. RIP to all these poor women.

      Often finding out the identity of the victims is half way to solving the crime .Me thinks that criminals of this type will actively search out victims that dont have a lot of ties to anybody or their local community.

    Serial killers are interesting to me but not like I'm a fan of them it's more like how the hell can a human being become so cold and twisted and murder others in the manner they do.

    There was a serial killer from Kentucky called the Casanova killer that was known for killing red headed women around that time frame. I wonder if there could be a connection. He had claimed to killed approximately 200 women but was only charged with 4o
    r5 murders. I think his name was glen rogers

    • @taylorcunningham2594
      @taylorcunningham2594 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would hope they at least considered him. Glen Rogers was born in July '62. With the first victim being killed in '75, I shudder to think that a serial killer could've started his killing career at the age of 13, but anything is possible.

    My dad attended University of Idaho, and was cyclists himself, when Kristen Davis was murdered. Nobody in Moscow ever thought that somebody would get murdered like that. In response everyone stopped leaving town towards Spokane and Lewiston, and stayed at college, many fearing just walking alone on campus.
