If they did he would try to set up a gig for him to come play. For decades he had a residency at Rockwell: Table & Stage in Los Angeles where he would play with his band, The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra, when he was not filming. This video was recorded for his first album, "Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra - The Capitol Studios Sessions." They opened Studio A up to Studio B at Capitol Studios to make enough space to recreate the club atmosphere and record with a live audience. Haley Reinhart was on American Idol S10, not AGT. It was one of the most successful Idol seasons. The top three, which includes Haley, all have millions of monthly Spotify listeners (Haley has 5.7M). Simon Cowell rejected Haley the prior season (S9), his last before he left to start X-Factor USA. The top three for that season have a combined 198K Spotify listeners.
Jeff is a highly accomplished jazz pianist, been playing jazz clubs for decades👍 There’s hope for the music industry with talents like Haley resisting to being swallowed up into a commercial cesspool. Not many “stars” are able to perform a wide variety of music in small club settings and leave the audience feeling like they were entertained
