As a police officer's son (and proud of it!), this song is beautiful!

Our Department attended Police week in 2022 to honor our fallen Officer killed in the line of duty by gunfire in 2021. He was recognized in 2022 during Police week. We attended this Candle light vigil and this performance really hit home.

Thank you for this song. God bless you for your service. This song holds so much meaning for me from your tribute to fallen officers years ago, to the tribute to border patrol agents & now this.

I remember it was 2001 and the worst wreck I ever saw occurred. It was on our radio and we all were in disbelief how bad it was.
I tried to call my wife who left for school just prior to that accident. It went straight to voicemail so I left messages telling her to expect the traffic to be bad.
Meanwhile at the scene an 18 wheeler had burned to a crisp and the tow truck hooked up to the truck and when it lifted the truck someone realized there was a car under that truck.
As they were pulling the car out from under the truck a woman’s arm was seen but she was not recognizable.
They ran the plate of course and realized who it belonged too but wanted to be sure and somehow identify the driver and be sure someone did not borrow or steal the car and make a wrong notification.
They saw her class ring and inside was her name. After that being etched in my memory I stayed on for a short time longer but the memory being first and foremost I never shook it. I’m sure if diagnosed it would probably be ptsd though I never did.
Of those memories I remember most the fellow men and women of blue coming by and buying me food, making me get out and fight through it. They refused to let me succumb to what I witnessed that night and even almost kicked my tail a few times for demanding to leave me alone.
As for my wife she had a beautiful send off thanks to my blue family. I’ll never forget them for being there and when they need me to be there I’ll always stand tall and return the favor. They will never want to hear a last call but when it’s transmitted there will be that one man who will stand in the blazes of hell or the hell freezing over. In the mud and rain or on the ice. It doesn’t matter what it is when they lift there face out of their palms and can’t see from all the tears I’ll be standing there in front of them to show them they are not alone.
Of all the fallen officer tributes this by far is the perfect one.

I've heard you sing this song so many times that it's etched into my memory. Listening to you sing this on this night, I know it was truly emotional for you. I love that you connect with each officers family and that you are true and authentic with each one of them. You have such a beautiful heart Dave. I pray you always stay amazing. Love you friend. God Bless you always. 💙🇺🇸❤️🙏🏻

Dave, was looking for a Christmas song to post on M4COS and happened across this one again... still incredible; a beautiful, gut-wrenching tribute. And what a view for you, looking out at all those candles and the Washington Monument... I don't know how you got through it, but greater than that is the story it tells of men and women who were challenged with a much higher calling. Appreciate your service, both in the Navy and after.

Our Government needs to hear this alone with a mother’s blood curdling scream of her baby (Son/Daughter) who she will NEVER get to watch or enjoy the accomplishment till the day she dies. Please share this with our administration if you can. Our country is being destroyed one block at a time. Families are being ripped apart day after day, night after night. Evil is loose and the flesh is week. I pray for all! You’re and amazing person and I thank you for your beautiful messages in a beautiful melody. My God continue to bless you and your family.

You are singing this song for too many officers ambushed, killed in the line of duty this year alone.

It did not make main stream news because it brings people together and not divides them.
If you think about it when a criminal is shot commuting a crime their supporters burn down cities, loot stores and creates division.
If you look at this video people are holding candles and sitting quietly. They aren’t blocking highways and they aren’t stealing shoes or setting police cars on fire.
If we stand United like the blue family does it destroys the agenda of destroying America
