I know this question was for Froggy, but I was just thinking about this... How about painting an Eric doll grey and putting him on a some kind of a block for a pedestal? His hair may need to be fixed with some glue first.
Triton Never was a human so why should they give him legs?

actually the paper matche idea was better it wouldn't cost a lot and froggy wouldn't have to buy a new doll and ruin it.

They are beautiful dolls but I don't think they are worth 160$. The quality isn't that much higher from their other dolls. I would have liked to seen more detail on King Triton. However, it is very refreshing to see Ariel look so different! Her expression change is really good. I'd love to see Disney do more of that. Most of their dolls these days all have the exact same expressions. (I said most!! LoL) I like it when they change it up.

I really like that Disney put Ariel on a smaller body, it really makes her appear to be the 'little' mermaid, after all. That being said, I was kind of disappointed by her facial expression. I wish they would have given her more of a concerned/frightened look because she was pretty terrified in the movie scene. Either way, the collector's item is still really pretty!

Why does King Triton wear a cape underwater? Doesnt it get heavy? Doesnt seem practical and its not like it provides warmth.
Tj Rotich I was so confused by that too. That and it is supposed to be modeled after the movie yet they changed so much about their looks.

Such a cool set, but I wish they would have made an affordable Triton and an Ursula. My girl is so into Ariel right now and Ursula is her favorite! But I can't find hardly any fun Ursula stuff for kids. She also loves Gaston and again...no Gaston "barbie"....😯😕
My favorite movie. And... He looks nothing like King Triton. It's sad that everyone forgets about Eric.
That Ariel doll looks like her mother.
Ariel originally was about the size of a Mattel Skipper doll, which might be why this doll seems so small. I bought my daughter the Disney dolls when the movies first came out in the 1990s. They had several outfits (even Jasmine). My daughter has them all today, safely stored for her own little girl to play with when she's old enough. Yes, those dolls--back then--weren't cheap, either, but they were worth the money for the hours of play they gave my daughter (who played the girl parts) and my son (who played the princes) and sometimes I'd play the evil antagonists along with them.

LOL Sophie's reaction is going to be me when the curvy Made to Move Barbies come out. :D These are amazing dolls, and, if I'm not mistaken, the first King Triton doll. My mom would love these, but unfortunately they're out of my budget. I love Ariel's outfit; it's not like her original tail and seashells in the movie, but they're still cool. Oh, don't feel bad about removing the dolls from the box - I do that with everything, not caring if it ruins the value. It's not like I'm going to sell them. :D Hey, you should make a Prince Eric statue! :) When I was a kid, I had Ariel's underwater play set, and it had Eric's statue face on the floor. Great video and great dolls!

I think you should give this Ariel a made to move body as well. That way you have a pose able doll and she can have more movement in the tail.
