Hi Ennis, What version of PanelPro was used when you made the video? My panel pro doesn't work in the same way as yours does in the video. I had installed JMRI about 3 years ago and only used DecoderPro because I couldn't see how to get anywhere past the first page........ Great to see a Mac being used.
I am 70 yrs old and have never had a train before... inherited uncle's train (which I never saw or ran) have been learning for the last two and a half years but very slow going.l This was a good video and I have JMRI loaded but NO layout and NO interface... would like to build the Roster and Rolling Stock but can't find instructions on that... (this video said "you can..." but "we won't talk about it in this video"... I've built an 8 ft Programming track but don't know what I can do about it now...
Kenneth D. Bryant Ken, you have to have a command station and interface to be able to create a roster as it is stored on the command station. Not the computer.
Vey nice clear explanation! Would be interested to see you do one one adding signals....! Cheers! I'm having various issues but mayhbe I'm missng something. Please do see my channel - I have done a few videos on JMRI, and would be interested in your thoughts.
I do not have much experience with signaling because I do not have signals on my railroad, but I would be willing to help you find answers to your questions if you would like. I checked out your channel and found your videos on model railroad automation rather interesting.
Thanks Ennis. I;ve made good progress in the past week... but I do think there is a problem in the core of path logic inside JMRI, but not certain where the issue lies. I'm finding it easier to build my own routes etc rather than relying on that. Have you got into block paths, and have you seen any anomolies? Cheers!
One of the few JMRI video "to the point". Well explained...
How can you delete a panel in panel pro?
