- I Stopped at the East Hanover and Wayne New Jersey Chuck E. Cheese locations and was met with sad news.

This is so depressing. This stage was so amazing and beautiful and now it’s been trashed. Seems like CEC hates their animatronics now…
they absolutely do, it's a end of a era.
CEC has nothing to do with Chucky Cheese old Animatronics anymore. No one wants to maintain them.

It’s really sad to see the stages empty with no animatronics, no backdrops, or just completely empty. What was once an animatronic stage that made CECs special, just gone. Also, to be honest, East Hanover’s exterior looks amazing so far. I can’t wait until they put up all the signs.
It only urks me how CEC Claims Animatronics are outdated, which is not true, they are a form of art which can't be outdated. If there is still an audience, the art form of robotic puppetry is still very much something unique.

I was just at East Hanover two days ago and saw the stage ripped out. I was like "Well, at least the Wayne one is still there." Not anymore =( I have so many memories of going to that location, rip
I know when you went to Smitty’s super service they said the CEC isn’t selling their animatronics but there must be one manager who will care about making a bit of extra money than following company rules.
Someone has to buy a CEC location and keep it retro

The 2.0 remodel doesn't LOOK that bad but they're removing the thing that makes CEC special
@@jasburger I'm not the biggest fan of the dance floor, but I do think change can be good sometimes. I just wish that there was a way to have animatronics in 2.0
@@princesskristan The animatronics are expensive to maintain, they should've kept the stage and the instruments and have the costumed characters "perform" while chuck e dances with the kids it would sell the idea they're in a band

Both these stores are in my district. A sad month for us. I worked in the Edison CEC (2.0 as of last month) for 5 years but did shifts at all the stores on a regular basis. If you’re in the NJ area you should check out the Bridgewater Studio C Alpha. For the next 20 days, Studio C will be animated again. Bridgewater has a really great bot (that I used to be the repairman of) and it has the last Studio C interactive console in existence.
I would have tried asking if you could take them. Such a sad sight. The anamatronics were definitely the highlight of any CEC. I have vague memories as a small child of peaking under the closed curtains during the bands breaks and seeing the unsettling image of these massive lifeless creatures in the dark towering over me that I will never forget. As creepy as that was, it's still super nostalgic. The CEC I went to as a kid was in Altoona PA.
Even though I know the policy of CEC is to destroy them I still went around back and asked one of the workers if I could have them or at least even take a quick video of them but they said no to both. And I visited Altoona just a few days ago so keep an eye out for that video in the next couple weeks :-)

Wayne NJ is the local chuck e cheese I go to. Its so sad to see them down.
I randomly came across this video and this is so sad to see. The East Hanover CEC was my childhood and it looks so depressing and miserable now. 😢

it felt like yesterday when i filmed east hanover for the last time and i actually went to wayne on the same day and saw that the stage got gutted out
2.0 is super sad I lost my last existing stage /3,2,1 stages or all characters store in august actually Stafford leaving me with only Studio c which is no longer being used for shows
If anyone lives in Florida and wants to see a full band, Tallahassee still has a three stage and won't get rid of it till next year, so you could check that out maybe if it's not 2023 when you're reading this.
As sad as it is, there is not much to say because no matter what we say or do, it won't change the outcome. At least we still have Middletown, Deptford, and Cherry Hill.

Sad to see my local CEC had their road stage removed. I grew up this store since I first visited this location back in 2009
Sad to see this!!! So far we've lost 4 stages within all of October to noe!! Edison, North Bergen, Wayne & East Hanover!!! Sad to see these 3 1-stages & a Road Stage leave us too soon!! Idk what other one is gonna get hit next, but this 2.0 is hitting like a tornado!!
Well I’m lucky they keep postponing Pineville NC but I hope to see that stage one more time before it’s too late

I want to report that parts of the Helen animatronic from the Wayne, NJ location were rescued by Juno, who made a TH-cam documentary on the Rock Afire Explosion!
Depressing indeed. Especially seeing the Wayne NJ location now gutted! Those animatronics were still in pretty good shape if I remember correctly.
I even saw the booth where I had my one and only job interview at the Wayne CEC, off to the left side of the stage.
I feel your pain buddy. So sad to see something like that happening. Hopefully the next one you go to will still have the entire stage and characters for ya. Keeping my fingers crossed.

The fact that East Hanover was my only nearest unique location, this is getting depressing for corporate owned stores, it’s makes it so annoying that *every SINGLE corporate owned location* need to be remodeled.
VERY IMPORTANT: when you remodel pineville North Carolina Chuck e Cheese, to 2.0, at least please dont remove the animatronics. you can add the dance floor if you want but don’t remove the animatronics and the stage like they did in one of the 2 stage because this is the 3 stage that works in the most perfect condition. It is the only 3 stage that has the moon and building animatronic and a replica of mumch jr. and please dont remove the RARE art on the wall. Listen to us please. WE WANT THE 3 STAGE ON PINEVILLE NORTH CAROLINA FOR MORE TIME EVEN ON 2.0. MOST OF US WANT THE ANIMATRONICS TO STAY!

Hey if you’re coming back up this way towards Maine One cool place you could check out would be the old Loring Air Force Base they have a museum and you can check out the bunkers and the airplane hangers etc.
Head to Paramus while your in the area! They have the last or only Red CEC Sign, & a Studio C Beta if i'm correct.

Middletown NJ may get 2.0 by end of this month or next month by end of the year I hope.

You should really visit Whitehall it has a cool stage and it’s known as the first cu-1-stage and it has some big history too you should check it out some day!

you need to go to bridge water nj it has the last studio c control panel but on novenber 20'th will be the last day that the chuck still sings songs as all studio c's will be turned off in the world

I'm amazed at how little CEC cares about the historical and monetary value of the animatronics. People would literally pay thousands of dollars for them. There's this huge opportunity for them to make big bucks right there and they're just ignoring it, and are too busy implementing crappy dance floors in place of the show. Its so stupid. At least the animatronics had a good run at CEC

This is so sad! I live close to one of the old PTT that got switched to Chuck E Cheese, and I haven't been in years. I think it still has the 2 stage, but if it gets 2.0 (knock on wood,) I'll be upset

You should go to Durham NC, it's the last 1-stage in North Carolina and it doesn't get 2.0 until late next year

Hey, I was just wondering if you plan on visiting this place in Kelowna Canada called Scandia Golf and Games. They are another place where you can publicly see the Rockafire Explosion. It’s just a short drive north of Washington but if you’ve got a passport, it’d be worth your while.
Yeah it's been on my list for a little while and I'm trying to get my passport reissued So I can make it happen soon.

I know I commented this on another video, but come down to Deptford in South Jersey! We should still have a full band in a variation of the road stage. I’d imagine if they are remodeling up here, those animatronics will be taken away soon. I’d hate to see you miss it!

That Chucke Cheese in East Hanover you could easily miss it wasn’t even a marked building when you walked in. That Golf shop sign and the green color overtook the building. Maybe it was me but I couldn’t even tell that there was a Chucke Cheese sitting there until you actually walked inside. That’s sad bro sorry you had to witness this..
My prediction is when this company has either completed the 2.0 upgrade or when this company inevitably tanks period (to which I believe it will one day, I see more Chucke Cheese close down in many of my nearby states than I see the 2.0 upgrade happen) I see this possibly unfolding 1 of 2 ways.
1) I see a single location turning into a sort of blockbuster video situation (if your familiar with that scenario) where there is maybe 1 Chucke Cheese left but it’s privately owned and operated by someone who has the money and passion for the upkeep.
2) I see some big rich tycoon fella swooping in and reviving the company and have a few select locations that keep the 3 piece set up band and all the nostalgia of it. Sort of like what that one rich tycoon is doing with Toys R Us.
Now while I guarantee nothing these are my predictions but I’m willing to bet there will be someone out there with the resources to keep it going even if it’s just 1 location when the dust settles. Just remember, nothing ever truly dies if someone has the will and finances to keep it going.

This is why I don’t like the 2.0 remodel it just kills the stages However this is a still really cool location like no freaking way it has a elevator and stairs I’ve only seen that in San Jose

Apparently the fools of CEC are Removing the animatronics from EVERY SINGLE LOCATION for 2.0. There is nothing we can do about it. Such a waste in my opinion.

I think everyone here agrees with that however corporate has sent out a policy that they are to be destroyed and disposed of and that includes any wall art that is taken down during the re-model as well. It's definitely a waste.
Those poor bots deserve better. One man's trash is another man's treasure 🪙😂 BTW next time you're in Amarillo, Texas you should stop by CEC if you have a chance. They still have their animatronics and I believe it's a one stage.
