If they would have used this strategy in Order of the Phoenix the whole plotline about Umbridge's Dementors wouldn't have happened (and additionally Harry would have been stuck at the Dursleys until September, not sure which one would have been more cruel)

It sounded familiar once he wrote it, so I looked it up. I don't even remember Marge going on vacation, but right, that was the postcard that came along with his letter.
Can you do an episode on whether wizards evolved from apes first, or humans. Was it the humans that became magical and some of them didn’t or did humans come from squibs. If humans came from squibs it would explain muggle born’s because maybe wizardry/magic is a gene but the gene was deactivated when it got passed down causing a squib. Then the gene was re-activated via mutation causing a muggle-born. Which would make a lot more sense then the general idea of a muggle born because getting an entire gene is a pretty big mutation for it to be common.

I was just rewatching Prisoner of Azkaban last night and I noticed something that put Snape in a different light. When he left the tunnel under the Womping Willow and saw Lupin as a werewolf, he immediately got in front of the kids to protect them, even though he didn’t have a wand. If people had noticed this when the movie came out, I bet there would’ve been a lot of speculation about Snape actually being a good guy. I applaud to filmmakers for putting a tiny detail in there that foreshadowed how Snape was going to end up. Did you notice it?

The work robes thing makes sense. Cheaper robes for dirty work like gardening in Herbology or the splash hazard of Potions class (thus the need for multiples since they might more easily get ruined). Then they would have mid-price casual or everyday robes and more expensive formal robes. I see it a bit like wearing a tatty old tee shirt for house painting or yard work, vs. the decent but not overly expensive tee shirts someone might wear to go shopping or hang out.

Can you do an episode on whether wizards evolved from apes first, or humans. Was it the humans that became magical and some of them didn’t or did humans come from squibs. If humans came from squibs it would explain muggle born’s because maybe wizardry/magic is a gene but the gene was deactivated when it got passed down causing a squib. Then the gene was re-activated via mutation causing a muggle-born. Which would make a lot more sense then the general idea of a muggle born because getting an entire gene is a pretty big mutation for it to be common.

I was just rewatching Prisoner of Azkaban last night and I noticed something that put Snape in a different light. When he left the tunnel under the Womping Willow and saw Lupin as a werewolf, he immediately got in front of the kids to protect them, even though he didn’t have a wand.
If people had noticed this when the movie came out, I bet there would’ve been a lot of speculation about Snape actually being a good guy.
I applaud to filmmakers for putting a tiny detail in there that foreshadowed how Snape was going to end up.

Today had been a rough day in quarantine. I needed this J vs Ben is my favorites!!
Y’know, I just realized how much you guys have changed my life. One and a half years ago I somehow stumbled upon mayyyybe one of your Pixar videos...? And then found your Harry Potter videos and I got HOOKED! I rewatched all the movies for the first time in a couple of years and slowly started to realize how much more info there was to the HP universe. So last summer I started to listen to the british audio books read by Stephen Fry and am now on my fourth listen. And I LOVE it all!!! This january I even got a HP-tattoo of Hedwig and the quote from Dumbledore regarding Nicholas Flamel ”To the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure”. I have you guys to thank for opening up the wonderful wizarding world for me. 💞

The work robes thing makes sense. Cheaper robes for dirty work like gardening in Herbology or the splash hazard of Potions class (thus the need for multiples since they might more easily get ruined). Then they would have mid-price casual or everyday robes and more expensive formal robes. I see it a bit like wearing a tatty old tee shirt for house painting or yard work, vs. the decent but not overly expensive tee shirts someone might wear to go shopping or hang out.
