Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

Still I Rise is one of my all time favorite albums.
Same. An the og’s version are even better again. Unbelievable music
All those verses on still I rise wasn't pac it's was the realest voice mixed in.
i aggree totally
What songs? Tha Realest was not on still I rise whatsoever, he did fill in on unconditional love and maybe filled in a a couple words in troublesome 96 for the greatest hits album but not still I rise
@@fun-vids6669 So Tupac was not on the Tupac and Outlawz album 'Still I Rise?' Well damn, I would have never known that after listening to that album over a hundred times.
thts why i say Pac the goat ever since he blew hes been the literal blueprint to be successful everybody...EVERYBODY has taken from Pac...hes the bar the standard and the blueprint...still to this day...theres no Dababy without Pac
He was talking about no limit I think when he said empires where built off pac. The whole no limit almost was sounding like pac . Cmurder, magic, fiend, p,mac, Krazy, big ed and a few others had heavy pac influence.
Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt, Armond Chaney.
yep and when pac brung that camo outfits i felt like they jocked that too
I'll give you everybody on your list with the thumbs up except fiend
The worst one to do it was Jay z that made my stomach hurt
@@darealWC3 I feel fiend had a lot of pac influence in his flow and style
Speak the truth on Still I Rise!! How many songs were Tha Realist vocals mixed in, I can count 3 were he's laying 2nd layer of vocals, Pac fans deserve truth.
Really?
No the The Realest was not part of Still I Rise
Ever since I started listening to the Lawz back in '98, EDI has always been one of my favorites. He has a lot of charisma, wisdom & strong flow/lyrics. By the way, one of my all-time favorite songs is "What U No Bout" (with C-Bo), EDI's verse there is out of this world.
We hear you, Plamen Totev. E.D.I Mean is a great one. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
The only Outlaw worth listening to was Hussein fatal. The rest are garbage.
yall do realize that all these gangsters of Hollywood are fake ass studio gangsters there's no such thing as a real gangster in Hollywood they're all just actors playing the role of gangsters on the world stage
@@2psah2youre really trippin Hussein Fatal murder anybody what you really smokin 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@UniqueAccessEnt No doubt. Thank 'you' for bringing for bringing this type of quality platform to the world. #Respect
I love the Realest but he is biggest Tupac wave and he love it. Not Ja Rule, Lil Zane, Black Haze, Kasanova and many more. None of them cats comes as close as being a Tupac wave. When you are a die hard Pac fan there are 2 types of fans.
Number 1: type is the one doesn’t want anything to do with any recordings that is not OG . Only wants The untouched material from PAC.
Number 2: The fans wants anything that has PAC on it even anything that resembles the late great PAC. That why rappers like the Realest exist. The reason that he was with death row was to push more PAC soundalike songs. That’s only reason Suge signed him. It was a weird time at Tha Row. At least We get a feeling that PAC is still alive with new recordings. This is just my humble opinion.
Well your opinion is wrong lol
The Realest was definitely the biggest Pac-sound biter ever, but it's not really his fault. Suge pushed for that angle and he wanted someone that was more controllable than Pac.
@yeetnessthegreater1298 The only factually wrong thing he said was Ja Rula riding Pac's wave. Ja was just following the trend of hardcore/gangsta rap during the 90s and by Rule 336, his sound is distanctly his.
Tha Realest is the closest to sounding like the real deal. The others try too hard.
Best said thankyou love you❤❤❤
You are as a rapper usually a collasge of your favorites and that's what makes your style your own. Some rappers have a more concentrated style of one of those favorites tho.
People don't understand the industry, you get bigger by using a gimmick
Folks like you more if you sound like somebody else a little bit,Tha Realest ain't no fake,he a good dude
Imitation is a form of flattery
Justifying doing music with a generic 2pac doppelganger.
I'm sure Pac wouldn't appreciate that
Exactly
Dumb
When will you interview Tha Realest aka Tenkamenin the Vigilante?
We hope to, steven topper. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
@@UniqueAccessEnt Tha Realest is a favorite rapper of mine who's his own man he isn't trying to replace 2Pac or take Pac's place hope you'll interview him because that would be awesome!
@@steventopper9310 shidddd lol
What EDI failed to mention is tha realest filling in them vocals as Pac in the later material.
Interesting, Mike Pac90. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
@tez capo How do you kno this, what source did you get this to get your info from? I remember the Realest sounded alot like pac but never knew he was used to finish pac vocals. I wonder what songs..🤔
@@BayAreaMusicVideos mostly for radio versions of songs. Changing out curse words.. Life Goes On, Troublesome, Unconditional Love I know for sure.
I know there's more, and know he def finished out a few songs too. What I heard was that Pac picked him out personally to fill in for when he left. I can't confirm that, but it's crazy to think about because it's facts that Pac set up things for after his death. That's why he was STEADY in the studio..
@@taucherdroid Damm thats Deep bruh. So Pac had hire him as his filling. But pac had so many songs made, why not just take out another song like puffy just to do. I mean pac easy had over 200 songs out there. I guess it was easier to put the realest over it then to look for it. That's crazy!
@@BayAreaMusicVideos Reggie wright jr and Darryl Harper confirmed it in their interviews
They should have never mixed the realest into Tupac songs.the outlaws will do anything to make money from pac.even if it's fackin his voice
The realest rapper sounds just like Pac - just distorted
Who was the realest on death row? 2+2=
Interesting, @chrislongworth4764. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
start with a dude that took the cadence and rhyme pattern and tried to do the voice too.? c'mon you could of been more honest with that answer.. we want to know how you were cool with that shit?
Tru there was hundreds of fools copying Pac even when he was alive but especially after his death it wasn't just a couple thats for certain.
Indeed, Basil Ahmed. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
💯💯💯
Emnem 50 cent and the shady ones did the same thing yet accused ja rule if being like pac
Interesting point, Adamantine101 (Adam Steel). Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Although his voice sounds similar to 2Pac, it's very different if you listen to it. He also has a different rap style than Pac. Tha Realest could have been huge had timing been different and Pac didn't die. Unfortutely Pac's death closed the door on a lot of people's careers and Suge Knight's mis-management of Death Row ruined it as well. Had Suge Knight played the background after Pac died and brought in a true management team (IE. Experienced CEO, CFO) Death Row could still be huge to this day. Suge just couldn't stay out of trouble and always wanted to be in front in the media. This was Death Row's downfall. Suge should have had massive security around Pac all the time and never should have allowed Pac to get involved in any fights or altercations. Completely mis-managed. If Suge brought in an experienced team, Death Row could be massive right now. They had the best producers, engineers and talent that no one else was able to build. I don't think people truly appreciate the machine that Death Row put together. It was like nothing else. The best producers put together. It's a shame because if Pac lived and Suge managed Death Row differently, it would be a powerhouse label to this day.
