PTSD....profession tantrum showbiz diva, well that's what I have always thought about her and her complaint. To say she had PTSD because a hard training style, which all professional dances have, was a gross insult to the people who have had real traumatising experiences, not toes trodden on and a hard, rigorous dance training routine.
These professional dancers are big deals, big stars in their world and very serious about their work. The celebrities are too temperamental, have big egos, obviously easily offended and lazy work ethics!!! This was always a "no story to it" story!!!!
I’m always surprised when stars and their fans are shocked when they’re voted off Strictly. It’s a dance and personality, elimination competition. Some personalities don’t come over well and others come on the show believing they are natural dancers, who with no work, will win. It always seems such a shock when they are asked to train hard and do what their professional tells them.
I loved watching.Giovani. He is such a great dancer and I loved his travels with Anton DuBeke. As far as Ms Abington is concerned, she probably got upset because she didn’t get her own way. She always seemed to be looking into his eyes, and I found it a bit sickly.
I’m not pleased that she decided to rubbish the reputation of Mr Pernice, when none of his other celebrities did. I have known a lot of dancers during my years in show bizz - and, heavens - they work hard. Finishing a day's rehearsal in pain, But it's that little bit extra --- that little bit more suffering that turns a chorus line member into a star dancer.
IMO if the BBC had a shred of doubt about Giovani they would not have risked their so called 'reputation' in saying he posed no threat regarding him participating in Italy's dance show. IMO someone had issues prior to entering Strictly.

What did she expect, if you don't put your feet in the right place your foot gets step on. I still think she was hoping to get a huge compensation payment, She only won on six minor points, hardly the major victory she's making it out to be. I hope any future employers will take this into account.

Agree, I love the dancing, the lovely costumes, the lighting, the holograms, the music, the judges and the whole colourful show, and getting to know the "celebrities". There is so much vicious crime, murder, torture, misery etc. in dramas these days and we need some light relief from all the bad news out there!

I was always convinced that Amanda was acting like a diva and was so used to people bowing down to her that she was shocked when Giovanni demanded that she do what she was being paid to do, i.e. learn to dance. We must also remember that Giovanni‘s first language is not English and perhaps the only way he could express his frustration was by cursing. I always knew he had done nothing wrong, but the woke attitude of the BBC put her 1st to make sure everybody felt sorry for her and to heck with Giovanni! She needs to grow up! And I do hope her career is over. It’s about time that people stopped being so “woe is me” and started getting on with the job they’re being paid to do! So she was shouted at and sometimes swore at because she found the training difficult and had a difficult job grasping the basics. I am sure something that is a part and parcel of training in any top professional activity. If you cannot stand the heat then don’t go in the kitchen and if you do then don’t complain if you get burnt on occasion because you found the job difficult. I just find it difficult to associate the photos of the two of them together during this period with the accusations. We have not watched any of the current series of SCD.

She embellished her story with lies in order to get the attention of the media, and she tried to make herself appear as a victim to gain public sympathy. Cruel behaviour on her part; no care for the harm done to her dancing partner.
She was an actress obviously not a dancer didn't like being told she wasn't doing that well he was a dance teacher now her career is in tatters and who will want to employ her when she can't take advice

It's all been very sad, I think. The show was so popular with families. The sort of entertainment that is rare these days. There are some people who just don't get on - sometimes personalities clash. And some people can't admit that they can't do things - has to be someone elses fault. We all know of someone like that!!!
We have a similar program called "Dancing With the Stars" and I've never seen it, but if anyone would like a hearty laugh, Blue Collar comedian Bill Engval described his hitch with Dan ing with the Stars that's so hilarious you'll be gasping for breath in berween laughing so very hard, IMO that's the way a dancing program should be, not with backstabbing that the tax payers have to cover, but with a good hearty laugh. She clearly did not appreciate the difficulty of the dancing. She realised that she was not as good as the other competitors and decided to pass all the blame onto her professional partner. She embellished her story with lies in order to get the attention of the media, and she tried to make herself appear as a victim to gain public sympathy. Cruel behaviour on her part; no care for the harm done to her dancing partner.
It makes you wonder what sort of life she has had if a small tiff affected her so much.
this is a middle aged woman, who must have known what was expected of her.
She was an actress obviously not a dancer didn't like being told she wasn't doing that well he was a dance teacher now her career is in tatters and who will want to employ her when she can't take advice

Well, that's just sad isn't it? "Pleased with the result" when she has succeeded in damaging another person's reputation and called their professionalism into question, doesn't speak well of her at all. There are many ways to have responded to this outcome and the way she has chosen tells me all I need or want to know of her. Thanks, Neil, for letting us know the result of this extremely poorly handled incident. You are so right, the light you are filming in is very eerie and definitely worthy of a Sherlock Holmes story.

The whole thing has achieved exactly what she wanted…I for one hadn’t heard of her before except possibly for being Martin freemans partner when he became well known. She makes me think ‘markle’.
Interesting that the athletes never complain, they understand it takes very hard work to be good at things. ‘Celebrities’ are mostly people in it for fame and money with little effort, it must be so frustrating for professional dancers when their partner is lazy, it’s understandable they get cross and swear a bit 😂

It's all been very sad, I think. The show was so popular with families. The sort of entertainment that is rare these days. There are some people who just don't get on - sometimes personalities clash. And some people can't admit that they can't do things - has to be someone elses fault. We all know of someone like that!!!

We have a similar program called "Dancing With the Stars" and I've never seen it, but if anyone would like a hearty laugh, Blue Collar comedian Bill Engval described his hitch with Dan ing with the Stars that's so hilarious you'll be gasping for breath in berween laughing so very hard, IMO that's the way a dancing program should be, not with backstabbing that the tax payers have to cover, but with a good hearty laugh. A big 👋 from deep in the ❤ of Texas and Cheers y'all 😊

Totally agree. What a waste of money. Amanda Abbington moaned from the day she started on Strictly. Professional dancers have to work hard. She couldn't hack and left eventally. Then she decided to cause trouble. She is now bloating about the result, but she actually lost. Who would want to use her now?
