    Thank you for making this video. Could you share any resources for understanding the logic behind the Chi variable? Will check curve whitepaper in the meantime 😉

    thank you for the interesting content and great presentation. out of curiosity what do you do for living? an additional question, what does it take to be able to understand this things (e.g. white paper) at the level you understand it? phd in math?

      i write smart contracts for a living.
      studied math in university
      > what does it take to be able to understand this things
      no PhD. just being able to ask questions to yourself and finding answers on Google

    Idk, what we are getting from making it more complex eq., Is it more precise swap or something, in that case you can multiply many more constants and this would never end. Sure I'll go for whitepaper and thanks.

    4:52について質問ですが、x + yをDで割ったあと、両辺にDを掛けていると思いますが、なぜ左辺にもDがあるのでしょうか。

      数式の間違えです
      X(x + y) / D = X

    So that is to say Curve's price is determined completely by asset amount D and leverage chi, so the price has nothing to do with oracle price right?

    • @vivekascoder
      @vivekascoder 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, i mean prices in DEX are not determined by the oracle.

    At 3:15 I don't see how D will always be the same value for both the constant product and constant sum formulas when x does not equal y. If x=3 and y=2 in the constant sum formula, then D = 3+2 = 5. When D = 5 in the constant product formula, then (D/2)^2 = (5/2)^2 = 6.25. However when x=3 and y=2 in the constant product formula, then x*y = 3*2 = 6

    • @smartcontractprogrammer
      @smartcontractprogrammer  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      D is a constant number that satisfies (x + y) + xy = (D/2)^2 + D
      x = 3
      y = 2
      3 + 2 + 3*2 = 11 = (D/2)^2 + D
