it's not specific to Rajasthan or any other state in India. There are numerous places in our great India, especially villages or towns where this kind of bullshit superstitious beliefs and practices are still being carried out. As we can see, this case happened in the recent past. It's prevalent in India & its prevalence is due to some illiterate oafs who still believes in these Pratha or Customary Practices.
