SprC 7 May 22 GrH owlet

Our team was participating in the Forsyth Audubon Spring Bird Count in Winston-Salem, NC. While on the Hanes property, a small flock of noisy crows drew our attention upward and one of our group spotted this young Great Horned Owl being harassed by the crows. Its plumage is an interesting mix of young and adult feathers, including a single feather on its left "ear" tuft!
