My wife and I retired from Putnam County Schools. She taught kindergarten and I was a Computer Specialist (Although I do have a teaching degree, but I didn't like teaching.) They're in need of substitute teachers and staff as well. Housing is lower than most places and there are local farmers who sell produce in season. Young people are going out of state to get jobs. There is a joke about WV and zero population growth. Whenever a child is born, a man leaves the state. ;-) You have some people who are lower income bracket, but most are really good folks. You do need to say out of the cities, though, but the crime rate is also lower than most places, too. Putnam County Schools is one of the best paying counties. Kanawha County and Cabel County are on either side of us, but they are more urban.

Whoa. Interesting. My mortgage was originally with a small bank, bought by US Bank, then bought by Chase. I’m know these transactions happen all the time but knowing where Chase stands, will I need to consider refinancing at a higher rate to get away from them?

I believe that thrift and savings with good interest and Trust Fund Banking should be the norm. God must come first because....loans that you cannot pay should be discussed under a "Christian based principle"... Christian Banks...a way of future banking.

This is sad to state but here is probably how the courts look at this. By her own admission she did take drugs and even hurt people. Her excuse is she had no choice however she got pregnant and with one phone call she was out of that life and back at home with her parents. Afterwards she then met another pimp and got back into the life and crimes that came with it. If the courts allow hookers to not be seen as criminal then most gang members can stand on the same excuse. I had to do it or I could be hurt by the gang. Im a victim as well. I probably could have made a phone call or attempt to get out but I loved the drugs and stayed in it until the gang was going to kill me so now I'm making the phone call I need to get out and yes my fingers prints is on the gun that hurt someone but do not charge me with that or any other crime cause I'm a victim. See how that could snowball. So it's a hard decision to make it law that they are not to be charged for their actions. Sone may try to defend her but I'm not against her, I'm only stating the facts that she said and the reality of the situation.

I don’t think it says give your life to the Lord but Jesus claimed on several occasions that He is one with the Father (God) so He requires us to follow Him, obey His commands, and follow His example. As the Messiah, He truly is worthy of worship, praise, and loving obedience. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords so He expects a lot of His loyal subjects.
Think about it-how amazing it is that God Who created the universe actually wants a relationship with you and He offers you His priceless gift of salvation through Jesus the Messiah!
