Equal temperament is iuſt as big a detriment to vs if not moꝛe than A being ſet to 440 Hz. If you tune A to the right note, but are in equal temperament, you will not euen haue your D being at the right frequency it will be off 2 cents. Verdi was woꝛking with oꝛcheſtras which tune to Pythagoꝛean 3 limit iuſt intonation, a tuning not conduciue to muſick that is baſed around choꝛds and harmony. "A+", that is one ſyntonic comma aboue A, that ſhould be tuned to 432 Hz. While A ſhould be 426.67 Hz. If you tune A to 426.67 Hz and play in 5 limit iuſt intonation, this happens automatically. This makes the 144 of D and the 256 of C perfect as well. If you take your banio to a luthier and haue them take the frets off and ſet it up for fretleſſe playing (I'd aduiſe fret markers on the neck as well), then playing in iuſt intonation becomes ſomething very doable with a little pꝛactice and the harmony of ſuch muſick is as God created it to be. Tuning your banio in "plectrum tuning" where the low D is tuned down a large maior ſecond to C giues you the open lower four ſtrings of C G B D. This makes the choꝛd ſhapes ideal foꝛ fretless playing in any key. The Loꝛd has alſo been ſhowing me the goodneſſe of gut ſtrings and the "auditoꝛy geometry" ſuch ſtrings pꝛoduce, that it is truely conduciue to godly muſick and pure harmony deſpite ſome of their dꝛawbacks. Nylon and ſteel are not quite as fitting euen though they may be ſlightly louder. Dauid almoſt certainly vſed gut ſtrings on his harp. I haue a fretleſſe metal-bodied reſonatoꝛ vkulele tuned this way. I haue been trying to make it as lowd as poſſible with high tenſion fluoꝛocarbon ſtrings, but the Loꝛd ſhowed me that it is moꝛe impoꝛtant that the ſound be all the moꝛe godly and that gut is the way to go with this regard. So on an acoustic guitar should only the A string be tuned to 432Hz?
