I will put jonghyun above baekhyun and baekhyun and kyungsoo are at equal level, don't tell me about high notes because mostly high notes done by baekhyun and chen too are not at all supported but rather strained, chen has an advantage of high pitch which he utilises to mask his mix to reach high, he can't belt like D.O in 4th octave consistently, occasionally yes but not consistently like ksoo, but overall technique wise there is no one above chen except for kyuhyun
If we're doing the whole SM I'd put jonghyun up there with kyuhyun and changmin tbh, they're a bit better than chen if only bcs they have more resonance. But in exo chen is def the best
I'd definitely place Jonghyun besides Chen. If going by the whole SM then Max and KRY are still above Chen.
D.O's vocal tone is heaven. and he is definitely the king of riffs and runs in kpop. please check his beautiful rendition of love wins all with iu 🤍

If I have to rate, my firts would be DO coz his voice is very dynamic.. he's underrated because he isnt given much high notes in exo songs compared to baek and chen. But his high notes and falsettos have has body and fuller. Watch more videos of him and his collabs in 2024

Suho is my ult , i love kyungsoo's voice BUT CHEN is definitely one of the top tier amongst all idols. His vocals are always very clear and never unstable. He has my respect !

Top #1 is definitely Chen. People argue over Kyungsoo and Baek all the time(though i don't see the point cause they're both kings) but no one can argue about Chen being the king of vocal kings. Also this is a bit of an outdated video and they're so much better now. It's a testament to exo's dedication that they still keep going to vocal trainings even now and that's why they keep improving

DO may not hit the high notes as often as others, but his voice is pure and angelic. It's filled with soul and emotion, stirring feelings deep within me❤️🩹❤️🩹

Chen's lownotes is as crazy as his highnotes. He hasn't showcase it a lot but yeah he can do it all. And it's crazy how he keeps on improving even now.
Not being bias (bcoz he's actually my bias lol) but he's really the number 1 for me.

My favorite vocal lately is Baekhyun between the three. Even now he doesn't need highnotes to tell that his vocals is in top notch . Those clips are so old and not even half of how good Baekhyun right now. The way he play with his vocal and flip the notes with ease and his highnotes now is *chefs kiss.
But highnotes would be impressive always with Chen because he have thin voice it's so high to listen like he's going to break a glass
Exo is really the vocal kings and even they are insanely good, up to this day they dont stop going to vocal training which I respect. EXO will always be my home.
The three are main vocals for a reason, each of them, beyond their technique, has a different style and strength. I think that was SM's point in putting these three incredible singers together, not only that they complement each other well but you will rarely see exol fight over who is the best of the 3, since from a global point of view they are on the same level. My opinion is that Chen has a slightly more advanced technique, but the difference is minimal. xiumin said chen is the structure of exo's songs, sm has assigned a"position to each one" and for people who do not know their solo diacography they will think that chen only makes high notes or that d.o. only makes runs, but that's not the case, it was simply the "task" that SM gave them for the group. You will rarely see Chen doing low notes in Exo's songs, being one of the members with the best low range, the same thing d.o., he doesn't usually do many high notes in Exo but that doesn't mean he can't. I feel like baekhyun is the middle ground between chen and d.o . All three are incredibly talented, then it will depend on your taste who is your favorite.

DOH KYUNGSOO OR EXO DO might not be doing the high and falsettos as opening and ending parts, riffs, runs and soul of exo songs are his parts but it doesnt mean he cant hit high notes and falsettos flawlessly. He is a genre king, the male kelly clarkson of korea.
He is viral NOW (that he is out of SMent) because of this videos that thought he cant do those things. The reason everyone is shocked that HE IS AN EXCELLENT SINGER is that can flawlessly pull off different genres with his voice, low/falsettos/highs smoothly, clearly.

In my opinion, the "Best Live Vocals of 2020" compilation is better not only because its more recent but there are equally distributed clips of the vocalists of the group exception for maybe Xiumin. This clip is also good because it showcases that they were good since forever and how they've improved. I hope you get to it.❤
