Tyler never made a bastard vinyl, I mean there are bastard vinyls but they’re bootlegs. It’s almost the same thing though, I’m pretty sure it’s on ebay or amazon
Bastard was one of my favorite Tyler albums throughout high school being a 14-16 year old. I always liked the playful, humorous, and twisted dark vibe to it. Its got a real sense of nocturnal vibes and eerieness and home made feel to it, since Tyler was 17 when he made it. I think the album as a whole stands up pretty well and its production, lyrics and flow makes it stand out very well in Tylers discography, although some songs are a bit rough on the edges. Its no wonder why people praised this mixtape for being so daring and ultimately shooting Tyler in the spotlight as one of the best and most unique artists ever.
I was in the shower listening to music on my phone and I never really listen to bastard and know nearly all songs on all of his albums BUT bastard. So I heard an unfamiliar song and I assumed it was definitely a song on bastard and I was right… SARAH WAS PLAYING AND IT WAS 4:30 AM I WAS TERRIFIED😢
I don't know if I'm just sick, but I've always been obsessed with gory, stomach curling, twisted murders and stories. Psychotic stories. One of my favorites is the Villisca axe murder. This album is an obsession of mine because it gives off a highly unsettling vibe. I like music that mentally messes with you and this is definitely one of those things.
amazing video. ive been with my girlfriend 11 months and havent shown her this yet and tried to last night and she hated it. thank you for this video man , perfect time for it to get in my recommendations. subbed and liked
@@TechnicalDifficulties by this i mean the bastard album. weve made up sense but i was like "...oh yeah i forgot it talked about that shit" and she was like this doesnt disturb you ? wtf?
honestly this is my favorite album, something about bastard is just so beautiful in an eerie way, especially sarah, probably my favorite tyler song, i really don’t care how dark it is, its a beautiful album that really kinda changed my music taste, because it was the first tyler album i fully listened to besides igor, anyways, bastard is a cool album, 10/10
I agree, it was my introduction to Tyler as well. The eeriness is what makes it extremely unique, and the production has aged surprising well for the most part.
I would love to ask where you got the bastard vinyl as I’m trying to get it to complete my vinyl collection for Tyler the creator. I would really appreciate it. Also wonderful job on the video as it’s very insightful and your straight to the point. Wonderful work!

This is still arguably his best piece ever, raw emotions, awesome lyrics, creativity galore. I understood him back then and now I understand that this was a phase in his life, but I'd definitely love to play this fully on a streaming platform if he ever let us
If you listener don't like bastard lyrics i recommend to listen bastard instrumentals only to realise how talented tyler already was 👍 Btw pigs fly sounds too similar from Window on Goblin
Good video man. It's been a while. Seems your content has changed a lot, but I like that you kept true to the theme you originally thought of, and I think it looks great. Your content has seemed to change drastically, but I think it's a smooth transition and I think this is pretty high quality for a music documentary. On the more critical side, I would say one thing you can improve is the plosives when you say p. I think it sorta ruins the quality. That's really the only criticism I have tho. Great video again man, hope you're doin well.
Thank you, this video was very insightful and interesting- very underrated. Tyler was not a bad kid, he was just hurting and music was his only way to creatively let it out in a healthy way. But being banned from an entire country for it- at like 18, is so funny to me. What’s an 18 year old gonna do? Shoot up the country of England?
Great video but next time try to talk more about the actual album like talking about the songs and his life in 2009, instead of getting side tracked with things that happen later
