Jiu, the rightful Queen, was holding the sword both times. They just switched costumes to indicate that one of those memories is false, which is what deja vu is, a false memory. Jiu was the victim of Yoohyeon's treachery (Yoo in black), but Yoo saw herself as the victim in the scene where she's in white and Jiu is in black (the false memory). That's all I'm giving you.
Deja Vu is nothing short of a masterpiece. It is a beautiful, fragile ballad that kicks your teeth down your throat in the chorus. It is extra difficult to sort out, because it tells the story from two perspectives. You know how even evil people think they are the good guys? This is reflected here. One perspective is Yoohyeon's, who gets corrupted right in the beginning. She thinks JiU is bad (does not want to share power) and backstabs her and kills, imprisons or banishes the other members so that she can rule alone. The other perspective is reality, where we can see JiU be kind to Yoohyeon, but she gets killed for it. I believe this is a commentary on the different perspectives people can have about the same event. The lyrics seem to hint at an abusive relationship, where there are usually two perspectives as well, and the abuser finds excuses to justify their actions, while the abused find themselves in an endless Deja Vu.

I saw that he was very cringe when reacting to any video, at first I forgave him, maybe it was his first time seeing it, but I respect the man with glasses, he is elegant in commenting and knows about the MV information, sorry this is only input for men in gray clothes🙏
dreamcatcher \:D/ lol, the 'wind blows(wild orange genie performance)' at the end screen is a good song/video to check out too :D I'll spare you of the deja vu mv plot/theme here because it will take a bit 😅. there is a good live if you want to hear 'raw' vocals with just some backing adlib harmonies. they did a semi-acoustic version for a live streaming concert which included a band - th-cam.com/video/AGFDNVfM0C4/w-d-xo.html this video is captured from the live stream. when they released the 'vod' and dvd version, the vocals were cleaned up and some pitch correction was added. that's pretty standard in kpop(and I guess in music in general nowadays), so it's rare you get really raw vocals. during gen2/3 a decade ago, radio performances were also a good place to hear raw vocals but even that has fallen to loud backing or even lipsyncing nowadays. you seem to dislike fancams but that's the only time you can tell if they are really singing live. starting around 2015+ the trend went away from focusing on actual singing and more on the performance side. most performances used very loud backing tracks so they aren't really singing most of the song. there are also groups notorious for almost never singing live. I mean that's fine since a lot of people don't actually care about live singing when they consume kpop.
Check out. Badvillain - hurricane & +82 performance. Two short performances introducing the new girl group. Super talented in rapping and especially intensive dancing. They are trending right now. One of the girl is name emma song a professional dancer/ professional choreographer made a name for herself way before joining in a new girl group. Its super rare for a professional choreographer to join a girl group since they already had a professional career
If you want to hear more harder song than this, then I STRONGLY (and I repeat it again : STRONGLY) suggesting you to see this mv. This is a song called Poison from a girl group named Pink Fantasy (link video : th-cam.com/video/ZquXNjEtPPo/w-d-xo.html) The song is waaaayyyyy more harder, and I'm sure you will be totally shock as hell when you hear it. You don't believe me? Then go see it for yourselves, I DARE YOU. Once again, greetings from InSomnia of Indonesia branch😎🤟
