As a white kid with little means and a few movie DVDs/ VHSs to watch on repeat growing up, this show Chris Rock did was one of them and my brothers and I watched it on repeat. To this day, its the only comedy performance I've ever owned.
I've seen two Native Americans before. Entire families, in fact. I catered a Navajo wedding about 15 months ago. Over 300 guests, most of them from Shiprock. It was awesome!

I was at Alder pond a couple years ago, in Goodyear metro in Akron....there were 2 full blooded native Americans fishing. They couldn't speak English. The young guy was catching fish like crazy. I asked him what he was using for bait (using illustraions with my fish hook, so he'd understand the question) and he happily showed me the bait And method....with a smile. Lots of my family are Chippewa and if you go in certain states they are abundant...from Alaska to Argentina. Don't get it twisted. We farm for ourselves, don't pay taxes on land, some get checks from casinos, nobody has jurisdiction over them, they have gas wells and water wells and solar panels, lol. Livin like kings....no tax havin.

Berrrrrnie!!! Oh my gosh we had just begun raising our nephew (5) & niece (4) when his show launched. When he said, "...beat them till the white meat show" we laughed sooooo hard. We so identified with him and came to call the situation we were all in "Rescue Love" which, for better or worse, is epidemic nowadays.

Eddie Murphy has mad talent. He was one of the original Saturday Night Live troupe. He stars in Coming to America, which is my all-time favorite comedy, I've lost count how many times I've seen it. He's been is so many films, including playing the voice of Perry the donkey in Shrek. My vote is Eddie Murphy for one of the top 5 black comedians.
Eddie Murphy put out two of the greatest specials of all time and nobody even talks about them or reacts to any of his bits from them. Raw, in my opinion, is the greatest comedy special ever recorded. But he’s so known for his movie roles, the new generation will never know.
You know going thru middle and high-school,Rock's white mates made his young life a living hell !!! He was the only black kid in his school and racism prevailed. LOL. I'd like you to change places when he was taking all that racism up the &&&,so you'd know how he feels.
A lot of people would, regardless of their background. Personally, if I were that (presumably white) 'one legged bus boy', I would definitely change positions with Chris Rock in a heartbeat. He and his family suffered a lot from the state of America back then, but he accomplished so much and has an incredible skillset to make people laugh. To have those abilities, that potential, and to be in a position to eventually be considered a household name as a comedian, actor and triple-A list celebrity, I don't know how many lifetimes I would need to tick off all those boxes.
Not a complete list, but top black comedians to me (not in any particular order): Richard prior, Eddie Murphy, bill Cosby, Dave Chapelle, Chris rock, Steve Harvey, Bernie Mack, Chris tucker.
