IRL, I was propositioned by a gay man, I explained that I'm not gay at which point he said that I "didn't have a choice". I am fortunate that there was a taxi driver that took me away from the situation or I don't know what might have happened. I am aware of this happening to other straight men. The police are aware of the incidents, but because I was called homophobic for not having sex with another man, I wouldn't donate to a gay charity, or do business with a company that openly promotes them. I wouldn't see them oppressed or anything, but some of them think that because there is a growing acceptance of homosexuality in society, that us 'breeders' should at try it or risk being called names and have lies spread about us. There are a lot of gay women taking my side in these because we all think that men are icky. I'm not homophobic, but for a month I was portrayed that way by some members of the gay male community. In effect I was ridiculed for saying no. If this is the attitude of some of them, and they play the gay card when the police get involved, I cannot support them in any way until they realise that other people don't have to take on their way of life or risk public ridicule.
Filipa Maria Costa I know it's not the fault of every gay person, obviously people have their own agency, but when these particular people play the gay card to garner sympathy and call straight people homophobic, because they won't have sex with them, it diminishes the experience of actual victims of homophobia, and it becomes difficult to take the spoken word seriously, that said I have assisted people who were beaten up because someone thought they were gay, I don't believe in using violence unless of course you are being met with violence. I don't take someone's side in anything because of their sexuality or their gender, because monsters exist everywhere in all communities. I will take their Side because I perceive an injustice.
And that's the problem with religious interpretation of homosexuality. It isn't a choice, it isn't a hobby. Hating homosexual acts isn't like hating playing volleyball. Orientation is a simple, yet fundamental part of who someone is. Forcing them to repress themselves is unhealthy. It is torture. You straight people get to be relieved of pressure after marriage, of that variety, at least, because unless you're asexual, lack of sex causes tremendous stress. Straight people of you're religion can relieve that on a daily basis after marriage, and even if they do it before, they aren't treated as badly as gay people. You are forcing them to suffer through this for the rest of their lives. Hate the sin, not the sinner, is bullshit. And homosexual acts aren't harmful in the slightest. It doesn't matter what your god has to say, those of us with actual compassion reject such corrosive teachings, even if your sky daddy was real, because, you see, it isn't your god that we hate, we don't care either way, their existence isn't important to us. What we hate is the abuse. We hate the brainwashing of children. We hate the forced reliance, and we hate the suffocating, invasive laws with arbitrary basis. Also, claiming you are in the right, and all other religions are wrong with how they interpret the bible, cannot be proven, and you know it, so don't even try that with me.
The behavior that they show the people in support of the LGBT community as having is also unrealistic. Yeah, some LGBT people hate religion and/or religious people, but there are people like that in every community! And who makes a scene out of someone rejecting a _bracelet?!_
a jehovahs witness from my school was kicked out of his house for a week because he chose to do his homework instead of church. they really are awful, unforgiving people
Malinda마린다 FUCKING HOMEWORK! That will hold up in school, "Miss, I couldn't do my homework." "Why not?" "I had to go to church, I get kicked out if I don't." Yeeaaaahhh, that's a meeting with the parents just waiting to happen.

It’s sad to see this. I’m a bisexual man myself, and I was in a gay relationship with a atheist who was being raised as a Jehovahs Witness. His parents never directly found out about it but we had to break up because of how much in fear he was of getting disowned by his family. I completely understood and it’s sad to see that they are so scared of being disowned for just being in a relationship that’s seen as wrong. I’ve come to be against the religion when this situation happened to me.
I'm sorry you had to break up with your boyfriend because of fear over that, I hope all us lgbt+ will no longer have to be scared being together or being lgbt+ in general

We shouldn't blame the older generations for their immoral deeds and views unless that generation chooses to force them onto their children, without giving them any room for thought, opinions, or interpretations. My grandmother used that argument when I spoke out against homophobes in general. She won't actually say homophobic things herself because she "doesn't want to discuss those things" but if I criticize people in general for it, suddenly I'm discriminating.

Oh and what about us TERRIFYING sinful bisexuals. I could go up to a Jehovah's Witness and say boo and they'd have to preach just so they could sleep at night. I'm spooky af, liking women and men.
My parents are lesbian and I am gay...IT'S CONTAGIOUS! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (apart from the fact that, well, my sisters straight....but we don't talk about that...)
I live in Puerto Rico. And when I was in 9th grade, we had to do a project on persuasive writing. We could choose between various topics and "Adoption by Gay Couples" was one of them. So me, being a lesbian (closeted at the time) chose that topic. I wrote a seven paragraph essay on why people shouldn't judge the LGBT community and that we should be able to have a family without people hating on us. I got 100/100 on it and my class loved it. My teacher, being bisexual absolutely loved my project and now shows it to all her new class students. The day of my presentation, a kid in my class (who was a Jehovah's Witness) decided it would be cool to do his project against Gay Adopting and thoroughly attacked me in front of everyone. It turned into a very nasty debate, which I ended up winning because I have actual facts to support my argument. It was a damn good day. #LoveisLove
My girlfriend and I love your videos! You make excellent points and aren’t one sided, you look at all the facts and then make an accusation. We also love the humor!
What kind of insult is “intolerant people” it sounds like something I would get called for saying the new Star Wars movies sucks, which they do because they fucked up the series
great! now when they come to the door I can grab my girlfriend and say “give me all your money or I will *KISS THIS GIRL* in front of your *CHILDREN* “
Have these people actually tried talking to a gay person? The chances of being confronted like this are so small- If you support all sexualities good on ya If not then cool cool The LGBTQ community isn’t the problem, the people complaining that they’re being offended by them are. Like geez, common sense.
Bits Well, they literally aren't allowed to associate with gays. They can't talk to people who are knowingly gay, and have to ignore and shun them, so honestly, no I doubt any of them have ever tried talking to a gay person, cause if they did, they'd be defellowshipped and shunned just like the gays because they broke the rules.
"They arent allowed to have sex. Ever. They arent even allowed to Peel the banana Peel peel the banana Peel the banana Peel peel the banana! *-god thats an old meme-*
My wife is from a JW family. Her mom was what they call "spiritually weak" and so accepted our relationship with no problems. None of her siblings are witnesses, so they accept our relationship with little problem. Her father, on the other hand, resents us. He even recently started telling my sister-in-law that my wife "wants to see her momma in the new system, so she will be divorcing her so-called 'wife' and marry a good Witness boy" :(
Everyone's "worldly" or "impure in thought" I know because I heard the phrases all the time growing up in a household that worshipped Jehovah..I left and i still hear "if you come back you can save your kids" it's really bizarre.
Yahoo news just posted an article that said a woman killed herself and family due to the shunning of her jw group. She had been shunned by extended family as well. She was shunned because she wanted her kids to go to college. Such a tragic story
Definitely I have to say the only thing better than the art is the commentary. And your channel beats most other channels I've seen at both of those things.
I don't donate at stores or whatever either, and I've turned down some things before... never once had more than maybe a confused look at worst, at least not that I can recall.
How sad. I tried to be straight for Jesus for years. I spent a lot of time depressed. I also spend a lot of time in a binge-and-purge cycle. I wasn't part of any sort of religion that would shun me for this but I feel sorry for people who are.
Now, I'm not gay. Yet I support it. Mostly because: 1. They are human as well 2. God is forgiving, it says it in the Bible. Using that logic... 3. Some of my friends and a lot of people I know are gay/LGBT However it's important to also realize how some people see religion differently. And by pressing on your religion to others because "it reflects on my opinion " is just crazy. You don't need to go out of your way to say that shit, just say" I'm sorry but I don't support". It's quick to say and it doesn't add that much fuel to the fire. Anyways great video, can't wait to watch the other parts.
Thank you so much, Telltale! I'm so happy that you are making waves debunking this religious bullshit, especially when it involves bigotry. You're one of many people helping improve the lives of hundreds, if not thousands. Every voice counts. This is a bit personal, but I have been going through a lot over the last few years. I won't go into the details of it here, but everything in my life escalated to the point where I started believing that there *was* a hell, and that I was going to it if I didn't turn straight and Christian. I was completely paranoid. Your videos were some of many that helped me quell my fears and be myself. You saved my life. I don't know how I could ever possibly repay you. I can send you a more detailed personal email if you want, but I wanted to at least make a public statement so I could get my voice heard.
I myself am semi-religious and shit like this is why me and best friend who is a witness are no longer speaking. Honestly encouraging people to be openly rude to people for their sexuality is disgusting. There's so much wrong with the video I can't even put it into one comment. But I do want to say that if I ever have kids, they will never be forced into any religion or dragged into any church. They will come to terms with their own beliefs when they feel they are ready. I want to end this with a quote that I live by. "There are no christian children, only children of christian parents."
Phantom Legacy it's not a roast, more of sarcastic comment. Mainly because there's an inbetween with something as complicated as religion and its values. Im sorry but your wrong and you don't get to dictate mine or anyone else's views
New to your channel but I really love it. I was / am raised Christian but am an atheist. Even though JWs and Christians are not the same I remember being told about being persecuted and shit about the end. I still have to go to church every wensday (used to be wens and sun) and kids keep talking about how evolution makes no sense. This adult literally said "If evolution is real then why can't we see it happen? " I tried explaining that it takes a long ass time for a genetic mutation to become more popular but no one listened
Ana Sterwert yeah I learned in biology that it’s a change over time. I don’t use evolution actually, I use the word “adaptation” because animals adapt to their environment
Most of those 'actors' are the gullible who go to live at their headquarters. They are usual also members of the organization, so they believe this propaganda as mush as the writers and producers. Almost every thing they put out is made 'in house.'
I never wear those bralets. I don't like the feel of the material they are made out of on my wrist. I'm such a horrible person,...according to this video anyway. Oh and if you children bring free one from home and no one wants them. You can cut them and hot glue them to the bottom of things for anti slip feet.
More Telltale, hooray! \(^O^)/ Holy crap, what a horrible vid, yikes... Creepy, AF! 😬 Is that how JWs think the LGBT community will take over the world, through rainbow bracelets? Then I say, bring on the rainbow bracelets! :D Great video, can't wait for parts 2 and 3. :)
Oh, no! We can't afford to lose a single one, and to the JWs of all people! I say, unleash the Pride Parades and Pride Festivals! 🌈 Who wouldn't love a festival and parade? 😁
Wow, it sure took courage to share with the world how hateful and intolerant your cult has brainwashed you into being. And wow, isn't it horrible how that other woman started bullying you for not believing what she believed. God it must be so horrible for you, being shunned and disliked for being different. Nobody knows how that feels... imagine if someone like that came to your house and passed out pamphlets on their agenda and you had to hide from them so they'd go away! Ohhhh wait. 😊
My teacher is a Jehoviah Witness and I always listen to her side of her day-to-day life on her being involved with the church and such. I remember an argument happened in 9th grade that I spurred out that some people are born gay and lead conversation to the Christians around my table to say no. Then my teacher mention that if a gay was to go to heaven, he must never have sex to a male, vice versa to a female, and I just felt ill after hearing that. As some one as I am, I try to avoid any arguments about religion, because of how she says that here religion is the true one. I mean, with how sweet she it, she honestly terrifies me. I am glad I found your channel, because it kind of helps me understand a more clearer view on how in this world, there are those with different beliefs and opinions. In my shoes, I'm friends with gays and straights, blacks and whites, Christians and atheists, even different gender identities (please no political hate to any one who reads this), some with weird interests and hobbies, as what I say is let them be them, because on how this world is heavily evidences on views, its hard to tell if there is a true religion or even one at all to follow. Again, I'm glad I found your channel and hope you show people a better site on how this world is coming to.
Thanks for the video. When I came out as gay, I got shunned by friends and family, both religious and atheist. I even got falsely accused of sexual deviancy and lost my job. Discrimination against people for their sexual preference is sadly not just restricted to cult members like JWs but also many humans in general. People need to get over their shame about sexuality and projecting it on others.
it seems that every single Watchtower ad against homosexuality tends to be against LGBT women. Seems that the Watchtower is scared to make vids about LGBT men.
God it's so bizzare...also, i find it interesting that everyone at that store was a woman. I wonder if the story would play differently if the Jehovah's Witness was confronted by a man
I am so glad I found your channel via GE. I'm an ex witness, and so much happier since I'd gotten myself out as a teenager. Unfortunately, they still have my mother. I wish there was a way to rescue her, but their hold on her is far too strong. Either way, thank you for these videos.
Okay so my best friend is bi And honestly I don’t think I’d be as supportive of the LGBT community if it weren’t for them I mean I tolerated them but if I saw something involving them, I would ignore it But my best friend loves anime. ESPECIALLY gay anime (ex: Yuri On Ice) And she talks about it all the time She’s shown me the anime’s and I’ve been curious to look deeper into the community. And honestly I love them. Anyways I just wanted to say this because it related to the video and I just wanted to compliment my friend where she would never see it >:)
One of my friends is JW and he quit the school last year because his parents wanted to homeschool him . I learned by one of his close friends that his mom beats him up. That makes me really sad I did see anything. Also one Time he had to pretend to go to school ( there wasn’t school that day) to see his best friend cause his mom was scared that they were gay.
Hey TellTale, I wanted to thank you for settling my mind some. I have watched a lot of your videos and I too was a JW growing up. I left the society five years ago and now seeing from the outside-in, I am horrified to see what is going on. Thanks man.
Thank you great videos!! I've been disfellowshipped a minute ago because I'm a lesbian, I think I'm the happiest person to be banished by this insanity called watchtower.
I have watched a few of your videos. I have to say, Spot on! I used to be a JW until I was 15. I walked away due to not believing in it, and basically being told but an elder that it was not the religion for me. (I asked if he thought there was life on other planets and then said it seemed strange that god would create all those stars and do nothing with them.) My mom keeps trying to get me to go back, and I just resist. I ended up having to put a No Soliciting sign on my door just to get them from bothering me on saturdays... I always thought as a kid, don't we have something better to do than walk around bothering people on their day off? Anyways I have been enjoying your videos. Enjoyed the mormon ones too.
I went to a local Jehovah's witness's church and when I said I was a trans man and that I was bi, they told me to leave before they call the police.... thank you jehovah witnesses for turning me away when I wanted help for mental health problems. -_-
I use to be homophobic. Not because of hate but ignorance. Then there was a conference on homosexuality called gris in quebec presented to our class. 2 members of the LGBT talked to our class about their life. How they accepted their homosexuality. The lesbian woman was a teacher. She was loved by her students because of her kindness. She said that she had a girlfriend to the class, parents panicked and didn’t allowed their daughters to attend school the next day. She said” “I am lesbian but not a pedophile”. They didn’t shame anyone for being straight. I remember I asked a question: “Are you born gay or you developed your homosexuality?” I thought sexuality is something you developed. Like if you are a cis man surrounded by hot men you’ll turn gay. Or if you are a cis woman surrounded by hot women you‘ll turn lesbian. I was that ignorant back then. The teacher answered: “I don’t know. When I was young, I just knew I was never sexually attracted to men.” I conclude you are born with it but you discover it later. All I need was information. You can be happy if you accept your sexuality. They approached the topic with care and without hate. They were so respectful. I was not judged. So that was my first contact with the LGBT community
First part reminded me of that South Park episode where the guy being shamed for not giving a dollar to charity every time he goes to the grocery store. Also 3:22 a-GAIN-st was hilarious to me for some reason.
I have lesbian parents and I can confirm that I am in constant fear

Fair amount of victim culture these days, which can lead to manipulators also.
BaggiBoi I read this as Black Parade, help. Although that would be just as bad a punishment, at least in their eyes.
I hate how they try to show themselves as the victim
@elegant hermit shame such good filming is used for propoganda
@Luka Merkviladze they want to be the victims because that's what would keep members from leaving. That is a persecution complex at work.

Ozy and the angry woman didn’t even seem to be gay, she said “do you have something against THEM” no one just assumes that for no reason
The blonde is an SJW, I'm calling it
Yet the cult's video shows the other customers looking down on the JW instead. Their need to feel persecuted is so great.
Would be more accurate if they portrayed toxic SJW's and not regular gay people
I know some butch lesbians can be pretty scary, but this portayal is going overboard.

Oh and what about us TERRIFYING sinful bisexuals. I could go up to a Jehovah's Witness and say boo and they'd have to preach just so they could sleep at night. I'm spooky af, liking women and men.

#LoveisLove

That JW got freakin' roasted at 5:46 "We believe gay marriage is wrong." "Intolerant People".
The proper reaction: "Get the fuck out of my store!"
What kind of insult is “intolerant people” it sounds like something I would get called for saying the new Star Wars movies sucks, which they do because they fucked up the series

If you support all sexualities good on ya
If not then cool cool
The LGBTQ community isn’t the problem, the people complaining that they’re being offended by them are.
I got an ad for Jehovah witnesses on this video...

I’m so sorry. That is awful.
Yahoo news just posted an article that said a woman killed herself and family due to the shunning of her jw group. She had been shunned by extended family as well. She was shunned because she wanted her kids to go to college. Such a tragic story

...
How sad. I tried to be straight for Jesus for years. I spent a lot of time depressed. I also spend a lot of time in a binge-and-purge cycle.
I wasn't part of any sort of religion that would shun me for this but I feel sorry for people who are.
ANOTHER ONE!! We have been gifted this week, thanks telltale.
Now, I'm not gay. Yet I support it. Mostly because:
1. They are human as well
2. God is forgiving, it says it in the Bible. Using that logic...
3. Some of my friends and a lot of people I know are gay/LGBT
However it's important to also realize how some people see religion differently.

You can't be "semi-religious".
You either believe or you do.n't

Ana Sterwert, am in a similar situation; though I'm deistic.
Nobody is that aggressive, they're just creating a strawman.
How do they even get all these people to act in these ridiculous videos?!

Ohhhh wait. 😊
Hiding? Guilty as charged. 😆

So you are saying that I as a gay person could trigger jehovas witnesses for eating a fruit?

Good people, I shall do as ye ask.
I trigger them just by my existence

Gotem nice lie ppl cant go to heaven also its jehovah
Why is she even at the marathon if she doesn't support gay people?
Honey get me away from that man I'm going to catch gay from him.
*CATCH DAH GAY*
The original text was also saying "Man shall not lie with boy" not "Man shall not lie with man" in reference to pedophilia not homosexuality.
What I find funny is that they are "admitting that they are JWs." Most people don't even have a clue what that means.
We do and i am j.w.org
Thanks for the video. When I came out as gay, I got shunned by friends and family, both religious and atheist. I even got falsely accused of sexual deviancy and lost my job. Discrimination against people for their sexual preference is sadly not just restricted to cult members like JWs but also many humans in general. People need to get over their shame about sexuality and projecting it on others.
i love the fact that they try to cover up their ignorant prejudice by throwing in diverse races

it seems that every single Watchtower ad against homosexuality tends to be against LGBT women. Seems that the Watchtower is scared to make vids about LGBT men.
Huh, you are right. They haven’t made one with men, so are they ok with men? Also what about the bisexuals? Would they be ok with me then?
God it's so bizzare...also, i find it interesting that everyone at that store was a woman. I wonder if the story would play differently if the Jehovah's Witness was confronted by a man
Hey bro. Great video and commentary. lol. Watched the whole thing. Can't wait to see what's next. Great job exposing those cowards.

I am so glad I found your channel via GE. I'm an ex witness, and so much happier since I'd gotten myself out as a teenager. Unfortunately, they still have my mother. I wish there was a way to rescue her, but their hold on her is far too strong. Either way, thank you for these videos.
Okay so my best friend is bi
And honestly I don’t think I’d be as supportive of the LGBT community if it weren’t for them
I mean I tolerated them but if I saw something involving them, I would ignore it
But my best friend loves anime. ESPECIALLY gay anime (ex: Yuri On Ice) And she talks about it all the time
She’s shown me the anime’s and I’ve been curious to look deeper into the community.
That was so over the top camp that it took a 180 into self parody. Unless you're Jeffrey Dahmer or Ernst Röhm don't fear us mmkay.

Dude this is fake lol also a min ago? What did ya do MHH
Ryan Taglia um...lies
Shakira Walker no truth
Ryan Taglia I seriously doubt that
Shakira Walker ok that's your problem. Have a nice day. : )
"Jehovah's whitnesses are being attacked by gays."
the fact that some people think that makes me laugh so hard.
From 1 ex witness to another keep spreading the "truth" about who they are
I love your channel!
thanks
