My take on this review. Some tests were not scientific and some were even unnecessary. For ex:- No one is going to use the watch to measure temp of a soda can.
This may be unintentional, but the review seemed very pessimistic. Would be then good to include what did you expect from the watch?
      Also the reviewer seems tired.

If the temp sensor is infrared, then it won't be precise on shiny surfaces. That's why it's closer to the other thermometer on non reflective surfaces.

Apple only really advertises the temperature measurement for diving, not swimming tho.
At least based on Apples (and Samsungs) reputation with their accuracy with their sensors, I kinda would bet that Apple does a much better job here... But yeah, would've been nice to see a comparison.

I like this format. 9 minutes to get through the point for consumers and not use half the time to read through specs and how great it is on paper. I noticed the scrolling and navigation on the watch has a slight lag and not very responsive. Hopefully, updates will address this.

This is more like a rant than a review tbh. I'm halfway through it and I don't even know what it can do, like how the notification works or looks, how long does the battery last, how does it feel wearing it, how's the sleep tracking, etc. The first half is about how it is mildly inconvenience to use with other Android phones and how the temperature sensor is not accurate (although I think they did it wrong, like people said, reflective surfaces and all. And that's why the book temperature and coffee temperature is close enough).

It just took me an hour to charge my Watch 6 Classic! I got it last night in the mail and it was at 44% battery? I slept with it, and even went to my doctor's office and I still had 20%! While everyone seems intent on pointing out the temperature testing section -- which even if it was done incorrectly doesn't really matter as I doubt anyone actually uses it -- I can't get over how many apps are required for these watches and the fact that you can't get full functionality from it unless you have a Samsung phone. For all the talk about "choice" amongst Android fans who scoff at Apple's walled garden, the Galaxy watches don't have a problem forcing you to buy a Samsung phone in order to use all of its bells and whistles.

@@chris993cross can't really say battery life is bad until they had the device on them for a few days!
the battery life and usage also changes person to person, and I got the 43mm 6 classic which is only 300 mAh and it's lasted pretty long for me and my use cases!

Same! That year, the US didn't release the black model when it first came out and so I bought a black one from Singapore and maybe it was the Exynos processor that year, but that phone had 0 lag! Even when I got the Note10+ 5G, I still had a little lag! And maybe again it was Exynos, but my LTE data was significantly faster than previous phones! Note9 was great

This feels like a video made JUST to complain. The temperature thing is designed to check your temperature, not the temperature of anything you press it up against.

Should have used the temperature sensor to measure your skin temperature instead of random things, because you know... that's what it was designed to do.

A huge disappointment. They are far from being accurate, let's say in hr and sleep track, and if your hr isn't accurate, all the other features' results won't be as accurate.
I've been waiting for 2 years for a decent Galaxy watch, something good, if not better than the Apple watch, which is one of THE best with hr. I've read a few stories about the Apple watch saving lives.
No one can trust the Galaxy watch to save one's life, I don't get why Samsung can't up their game, compare to its competitors if not up their competitors.
I was counting on the 47mm watch. I'm with Samsung since its first Galaxy S1. I love Samsung but with their watches, it feels like they fool its costumers and it's a huge huge huge disappointment.
Here's to yet another year of waiting for a GOOD watch.

When I get my vitals checked at the doctor's, my HR is usually always the same as the finger reader they hook up to me, sometimes just one or two numbers off.

The watch just came out. They might come out with some updates later that could improve some of the problems. Some, but not all. That's why never buy new tech day 1. I just wait for the reviews and shop around.
